Beautiful location and lovely hotel. Impeccably clean, well equipped room with truly comfortable beds. The owners were amazing! They were super friendly and both helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfasts were delicious and their home made pizzas were honestly spectacular. The hotel room had beautiful views out to the Isle of Mull. Shaley and Peter were very accommodating and helpful. The food was great! The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I was sad to leave.

The location of the hotel is superb, to get to it you go over some of the most beautifully wild and remote mountains and moorlands, yet the roads to it are super and well maintained, the owners were lovely to meet, and very friendly, we had plenty to chat about, the food was lovely and cooked freshly to order, we enjoyed it very much, the hotel is only walking distance from the ferry to mull, the scenery is stunning and wildlife is in abundance, it was a pleasure to stay there with my best friend. We would highly recommend the lochaline hotel and we will be back.

Lovely room with a splendid view of the bay and Mull. Excellent service, we had a tour of local wildlife, with the very knowledgeable owner of the hotel and we were able to see red squirrels and otters without causing them any distress or even noticing us at all. There are various options for cooked breakfast (many local meats options, but sorry we are vegetarians and we cannot vouch for them) we especially liked the winter berries compote to mix with muesli and yoghurt, the excellent coffee and baked goods. We had pizza in the evening and there is also a gluten-free option and excellent wine.

The hotel is small and in a beautiful location. There is a lovely friendly touch. The pizzas are amazing and they have a lovely selection of pies. This is a place to get away from it all and be surrounded by wildlife. Pete one of the owners knows all about wildlife and where to find it nearby. I would recommend booking time with him if he has space whether you just want to see wildlife or take pictures. He is a great photographer and teacher and genuinely interested in making your time with them special. We will be back

Spotless room with lovely view, had an amazing bath and wonderful local toiletries - that was something that is nice - Lochaline uses local produce. The hair dryer in my room looked like it may take 3 business days to dry my hair because it was small but I was actually delighted with how powerful it was! Shaley, Peter and extended Family could not have done more to make me feel welcome.

The location of this property is amazing, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The people that run the hotel are fabulous. Our booking was last minute due to the ferries (Oban and Lochaline) being cancelled. So after our arduos journey this hotel was our wonderful haven.
