Padstow was bustling and had a lovely holiday feel to it.
Padstow was bustling and had a lovely holiday feel to it. Very pricey and full of luxury shops and boutiques. Great array of restaurants and cafes to choose from. We really enjoyed pootling around it to be honest. It was low season so this might have helped.

Comfortable place. Plenty of shops and eateries.
Comfortable place. Plenty of shops and eateries. Atmospheric location with glorious beaches and countryside to explore. Sea air! As it was Christmas some places and shops closed on the day but we were told beforehand and made arrangements for ourselves. Padstow is a working fishing port in addition to a tourist hot spot. To be there when it was quiet nurtured the sense of times past before tourism sprang up.
Proper 'ansome place and the locals are brilliant as they should be living all year round in such an environment.

Padstow was fantastic.
Padstow was fantastic. Where I stayed was a total disappointment but actual Padstow was lovely. I’ve been many times and it’s a beautiful place. Extremely busy in the summer months, you can’t walk freely just constantly walking out of other peoples way and many dogs. The harbour is pretty, lots of lovely shops and places to eat. Always have to visit the Blue Wing gallery for some unique jewellery and to my favourite ice cream shop on the corner. Me and my husband adopted blue lobsters from the lobster hatchery a few years ago so that’s always a nice place to visit too and adopt some more. Parking however isn’t so fun, it’s a steep walk down from the car park or if you park in the streets. Would highly recommend a cycle or walk along the camel trail from Padstow to Wadebridge it’s beautiful!

We were lucky enough to be in Padstow in the day with the highest tide of the year (7mt) and unique weather conditions (5% of the year) - I loved the cosy atmosphere of the harbour area, the incredible fascinating tide cycle, changing the scenary of the Camel estuary from morning to evening. We enjoyed to walk through the South coastal path along the 7 bays/beaches trail for approax 19 km up and back. In the morning the tide was low, till afternoon and we could walk on the bed of the river, with this amazing sense of the nature power. The we walked on top of the clives, with incredible scenaries and got into the water of the Ocean , so transparent and clean. We also took a see wild boat trip to the ocean where we were apprached by dolphins in a calm flat ocean. Last but not least ... we cood find a seta at the Rick Stein restaurant for a marvellous seafood dinner. A memorable staying! I strongly recommend this place ... cannot just be sure of the weather thoug :-)

Lovely and lively town with great nearby beaches, lots of outdoor activities to offer (bike trails, boat tours, water sports, etc.). An absolute dog heaven! Great foodie experience if you love fish and seafood. Recommend Rick Stein's fish and chips restaurant and Deli, as well as Prawn on the Lawn (my personal favourite). We had an opportunity to dine at Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 and it was a fantastic experience with top professional staff and delicious food.
Parking can get tricky on sunny days and weekends!!

My second visit in a year.
My second visit in a year. The first was out of peak season and I loved the town. This one was mid-August and I would not visit again during the peak season. WAY too busy and with a different sort of visitor - I will say no more!
Good location for Padstow but still a lengthy walk all up/down hill. Great layout, great facilities, very comfortable, very relaxing. Pretty perfect. The hand soap containers were empty and no dishwashing tablets/dish washing liquid, but this was quickly resolved so all good. Wifi was good but it did fail for 2-3 hours one evening but again resolved quickly. Washing machine was a great bonus. Bed comfy. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Would I stay here again? Yes!
We come to Cornwall at least twice a year and have stayed in various locations each time. Bailey Lodge was by far our favourite thus far. It's in an excellent location just outside of Padstow — very easy to get in and out of and close to some of the best beaches in Cornwall. It was so comfortable and clean with excellent, modern amenities...and very comfortable beds! Our hosts were very friendly and responsive to all of our questions. We most definitely want to go back ASAP!
The Custom House is an elegant, attractive old building with an excellent position on the harbour. The interior has a lively bar, but our bedroom was well screened from any noise. Our room had the most amazing window with a view of the harbour, the sea and Rock and the very convenient carpark. There was an option to eat but we chose from one of the many eating places in Padstow. However, we had a nightcap by the woodturner and the breakfast was good.
The property is lovely. Nice and clean and everything we needed was there. Location was perfect as we wanted to see as much of Cornwall as possible. Fantastic that it’s dog friendly as it’s so hard to find somewhere nice to stay that allows dogs. Nice little dog area where you can let them off to run securely too! Owners couldn’t have been more helpful. Can’t fault it!
Fabulous lodge appointed to an extremely high standard. Situated in a great location 5 mins drive or a 20min walk across muddy fields/footpath to Padstow Harbour. A short drive to wonderful beaches. The lodge is in a very peaceful setting overlooking the countryside. Lovely to relax on the deck after a day out. Very helpful owners, great communication.
The owners were lovely people who made us feel really welcome from our arrival. We got on well with them throughout our stay. The room was lovely. Very clean and maintained to a high standard every day. Breakfast was great and the property was in a perfect location for us to explore different parts of Cornwall each day. Lovely stay and we will be back.
The rooms were superb, very spacious, well equipped and comfortable and the view from the balcony was just jaw dropping! Amazing views looking out over Padstow harbour and across the water to Rock.
The staff were all very friendly, the range of beers and ciders was excellent and the food in the restaurant was very good.
The room was a nice size, bed comfortable and clean throughout. Plenty of sockets in the right places and a warm bathroom. The staff fulfilled our requests of more tea bags and glasses to be put in our room. The hotel/Inn was very near the shops and harbour. An excellent position, though no good if you want a view.
Beautifully clean and well presented house in an excellent location only a 9 minute walk from Padstow Harbour. Both James and Lisa were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was also really good and in a lovely dining lounge room that overlooks the estuary across the rooftops.
Well organised, easy to find and well located for the Padstow area and accessible to other parts of Cornwall. The property was nicely furnished, with a high standard of fixtures and fittings, comfortable beds, storage space and a private parking space. Very happy with our stay.
The Harbour hotel has been beautifully refurbished and is in a brilliant position in Padstow. There are comfortable beds, powerful showers, complimentary gin and tonic, sherry snd mineral water. Breakfast was excellent too with a wide choice of cooked egg dishes.
Room was Amazing...., hotel was in a beautiful setting with Stunning views. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We were unable to book for dinner as it is was fully booked. Breakfast was okay but nothing special.
Fabulous location right by the harbour in Padstow. The appartement has a table with high stools by a window overlooking the harbour and this is a great place to sit to have breakfast and watch the world go by!
Great location in a quiet village beside a small river.
Bedroom very comfortable and spacious. Gorgeous views of little river .
Breakfast excellent with a good choice of cooked breakfasts.
The property has an excellent location not far from Padstow, Newquay and other areas of interest. The views were fantastic, we asked for a Sea Room View Room and we were not let down.
