Lovely fishing village. On Fife coastal pathway.

Lovely fishing village. On Fife coastal pathway. Two lovely restaurants, a Bistro and a Chippy down by the harbour. Good walks both east to Anstruther(where in the summer there are boat trips to the Isle of May) and Crail, and West to St Monans where there is are an historical windmill and salt pans. Good base for St Andrews.

Pittenweem is located in the East Neuk area of Fife which has plenty of opportunity to enjoy outdoor and indoor activities. We enjoyed walking, seeing the harbour, local food (chippy, bistro and cafes), local farm shops, art shops and galleries, other local towns and villages, distillery etc….. even the Fife weather was enjoyed ( we wanted some wind, rain and rainbows 😁)

A very quiet area with a lovely small harbour and very friendly residents living there. We visited a pub/restaurant called the Chip Ahoy @ Larachmhor and the fish and chips were lovely. Also the employee was Irish and we had a great chat with him and he was able to tell us about different walks around the area.

    Lovely little harbour town.

Lovely little harbour town. We stayed opposite fish market - great location for the #fife coastal path, with accessible paths for walks to Anstruther and Craig in one direction, and St St Monans and Elie in the other. We ate in the Dory Bistrot and Larachmhor, both were great.
