We are a family run business. James takes care of the day to day running of the B&B.

Property information

Poplars farmhouse has been renovated to provide comfortable accommodation with modern shower and bathroom facilities. All seven rooms have either an ensuite shower or their own private bathroom. Including six king size or super king size bedrooms and one really comfortable single room with ensuite. Extra single beds are available in some of our rooms (on request prior to arrival). Rooms also contain, TV; desk with chair and mirror; WiFi; iron; hairdryer; and hot drink making facilities. Fresh breakfast supplies have been carefully chosen from local farm shops and selected suppliers. Please let us know about any special dietary requirements or allergies, as we can modify our food preparation and cooking methods and ingredients accordingly. Tea and coffee making facilities are available free of charge in our light and bright garden room. Where you can prepare simple meals, have takeaways, or there are good restaurant options within walking distance too. We have plenty of outside space with ample off street parking on our large drive. Wether you are visiting family, exploring or on business, we look forward to making your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Neighbourhood information

There are many local places of interest. The historic towns of Hitchin, Cambridge, Ampthill and Bedford are a short drive away. Milton Keynes has shopping, the indoor snowzone and much more. Woburn Abbey and Safari Park, Whipsnade Zoo and RSPB headquarters at Sandy offer days of entertainment. We have The Shuttleworth collection and Old Warden Aircraft displays in the summer. The Swiss Garden and Jordan's Mill are nearby. There's Duxford War Museum and Bletchley Park. Golf courses are Mount Pleasant, Cainhoe Wood, and The Millbrook, with others nearby. Arlesey Train Station 1 mile away and Hitchin Train Station is 6 miles. London is only 35 mins by train if you fancy the museums or a night at the theatre in the West End. Champneys Henlow offer spa days and is in the village, Bannantynes Spa Fairfield is 5 mins by car. Centre Parcs Woburn also offer spa days and evenings with beauty packages. We are sure you'll find lots to do here!
