Historic Gateway to Gatwick
The Sussex market town of Crawley is just south of Gatwick Airport, London’s 2nd busiest passenger terminal after Heathrow.
Its train station links directly to Gatwick, as well as to Victoria Station in London to the north, and Brighton to the south. Set roughly midway between the 2 cities, the town has long been an important stopping place. One of its 17th-century coaching inns – the George Hotel – still exists under the name of the Ramada Crawley Gatwick and is available on Booking.com.
However, the town’s history dates back much further than that. Records show it as being a market town as early as the 13th century, and its central Goffs Park has a museum containing some Stone Age remains found here.
Tilgate Park to the south has a lake, nature reserve and one of Crawley’s 3 golf courses. The town’s other leisure activities include bowling, a cinema and a collection of restaurants and pubs. The high street is a mix of historic buildings and modern shops, and more stores are found at Crawley County Mall.
Practically all of the Crawley hotels, guest houses and country houses provide parking and a few also have features such as swimming pools and gyms.

Everything was just perfect a classic authentic looking pub style hotel with very cozy fire place in the dining room and very comfy and cozy rooms. A pity there is no meal service as this place screams for a Sunday roast and the classics on a menu as a steak with 3 choice sauces, a pizza, a burger, a crab cake with greens, a classic fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar and two salads. The rooms were clean as were the public areas. Staff were friendly and polite. However, whilst the food was good it was of a low standard and offered at an outrageous cost....b/fast was a plentiful buffet but £16 was steep.

Trivelles Gatwick Hotel was disgusting The 200 meter driveway was flooded which disguised the massive pot holes all the way down the drive the underside of my car scraped at least twice.The pictures of the palce must have been taken when first renovated which must have been somme time ago as it is very tired now. the bed linen was stained, it looked like someone has blown their nose on it, and I saw at least 3 cockroaches on the desk.

Excellent hotel with friendly staff, easy check in, very clean rooms and super comfortable beds. The only issue was this hotel is not super close to the airport and there are no shuttles or buses that go to the hotel from the airport. The only option is to book a taxi, which you should definitely arrange with the hotel before your stay, as it is very expensive from Gatwick (17.50 pounds as opposed to 30 pounds).

This is boutique, its really a nice house that has been converted to a hotel, with a number of large on suite rooms. So don't expect a traditional big hotel. It has lovely comfortable beds, it is in a nice quiet location, the breakfast was amazing and the owner was friendly and helpful.
