Bright and comfortable 2 room annex on a Cornish smallholding. Over looking countryside with distant views of St. Ives bay. We are close to many beautiful beaches and centrally situated for exploring West Cornwall and beyond. Beautiful walks and historic mining trail close by. Rural retreat for couples looking for a relaxing break or for busy families wanting to explore and enjoy the beaches. Superfast Wifi. The Piano Room annex has it's own entrance and is on 2 floors. The master bedroom has a tranquil feel and it is from here that you can view the sun setting and the wildlife that visits. It's a bright, comfortable, triple aspect room with sun flooding in from the large arched window at the rear and the French doors with Juliette balcony to the front. The modern ensuite with shower which serves both rooms is accessed from this room. The downstairs room is equipped with a 3ft day bed. The kitchenette area, has 2 ring hob, small fridge, kettle, toaster and family sized microwave. We do recommend that the accommodation is more suited for a couple or families with a child over 3 years rather than 3 adults. Please note that we accept bookings from couples and families only. (Imagine a large family room split over two floors with the benefit of small kitchenette and dining table & chairs), The accomodation is self catering. Outside there is a washing line and wetsuit wash tub, for washing swimware/wetsuits. There is also a picnic table for guests use in our front meadow. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Please note that we do allow pets on request, this however is limited to one well behaved dog (no puppies) and we do make an extra charge. There is a parking space for one car extra charge for extra please ask.
We look forward to welcoming you to our 8 acre smallholding in the beautiful county of Cornwall. We keep a few chickens & ducks for eggs and two small flocks of sheep including our rare breed White faced woodland. which no doubt you will see during your visit. We are also hobby breeders of the wonderful Devon Rex cat which keeps us busy! We are also very keen on growing our own vegetables and fruit, which we grow in the traditional way. Being centrally located means that we are just a short drive from most places of interest, With easy access to the A30 which is approximately 3 miles away it means that even a trip to Eden project is an easy day trip. Some of our favourite beaches are only 6 miles away, Portreath is great for families with easy access and parking. The long stretching sands at Gwithian are amazing and parking is available - both so close it's worth visiting in the evening just to watch the sun set. We hope to see you soon, Amanda & Simon
Bus stop within 400m, with frequent service to Truro via Camborne. Camborne rail station is within 2 miles, but to explore we reccommend your own transport is desirable. If bringing cycles then there are many bike routes in the area to enjoy. Otherwise cycle hire and electric cycle hire is available locally. A varied selection of takeways and restaurants within 2 miles and many will also deliver. Our central location makes it the ideal base from which to explore West Cornwall, St Ives, Minock Theatre, Lands End to name a few. The Eden project Heligon & St Austell an easy day trip. Amazing beaches:- Portreath 6 miles, Helston 8 miles, Falmouth 12 miles, St Ives 14 miles, Gwithian 6 miles, Perrenporth 14 miles. For the children (young & old) Flambards is only 8 miles away. Stithians Lake and watersport centre within 5 miles. For a days shopping the beautiful cathederal city of Truro is 15 miles away with a miriad of independant shops in addition to the well known names.
