I was in Douglas for business.

I was in Douglas for business. I spent an afternoon walking the town and was quickly bored. I used the cinema one evening. The girls at reception were charming and the cinema had a nice feel to it.

Douglas is lovely, it is clean and we loved wander8ng around the streets. Good signage to find your way around but also nice.to get lost for a while. We walked around Douglas and used the buses, steam.and electric trains to get around the island. We had fish and chips while walking along the sea front and ate small plates at Frank Matchams. Loed it

We know the Isle of Man very well and although Douglas has suffered through the current financial crisis, it is still a good city to visit. The museum is free and very informative. The tour of the government building likewise. It is easy to get around the city and buses to other parts of the island are plentiful. There is a range of restaurants to suit every pocket and we also cane home with Isle of Man kippers. People are friendly, including the lovely staff at the Hydro. I would always encourage visitors to make Douglas a base and travel all over the Island. Peel, Ramsey and Castletown all are worth a visit and offer differing aspects of the Island.

Douglas is a seaside town with most places in close proximity to each other; the ferry terminal and Tourists Information Centre, the shops, cafés, pubs, banks, museum, and the two seafront theatres. The Villa Marina is a large theatre and cinema. The Gaiety Theatre is a smaller and most charming old theatre. Further down the Seafront is The Palace Cinema. I enjoyed a good film there. Comfortable seats. There a nice chippies around the town. The bus route Douglas to Ramsey along the coast road has stunning views. The other main towns are quick and easy to get to on bus, and the airport too. That's just half hour away.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We had the standard double room which was very clean and comfortable. We were only there a couple of nights so didn’t use the facilities on offer such as the gym or spa but it’s brilliant to have the options there. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food and included in the price of the room. Great views and location, easy to get around the island. Will be staying again when I’m back in the Isle of Man.

A really good apartment in an excellent position alongside the quay. Very helpful and cheerful staff and the comfortable accommodation was well equipped and modern. Must be one of the best locations in Douglas. Close to some classy restaurants but there were also some budget options nearby too. A very short walk to the railway station, buses and, if driving, well situated to access the other resorts of the Isle of Man. Would definitely return

Steve and Maria were excellent hosts- warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was incredibly comfortable and perfect after a long day of exploring. The B&B is well placed on the Promenade in an excellent location. Glenfaba is excellent value for money. This was my first visit to the Isle of Man but it won't be my last. Next time I'm on the island, I'll stay at Glenfaba again. Thank you for your hospitality, Steve and Maria!

Perfect location, just off the promenade in Douglas tucked away in a quiet street. When entering the property the first thing you notice is that the hotel is exceptionally clean and looks freshly decorated throughout. I had a single room which was cosy and comfortable with en suite. Excellent value for money for the Isle of Man.

Visiting the Isle of Man by bicycle, wasn't too far from the Douglas ferry. Was a lovely stay, plenty of restaurants nearby, easy walk to the high street, and inside storage for the bike! Bedroom and en suite were plenty big, breakfast very filling, and very clean hotel! Would deffo recommend staying here in future to see the island.
