Located halfway between Edinburgh and Gretna Green my wife to be and I stayed here just for a night before eloping the following day. We had the place to ourselves, our room was very spacious and tastefully decorated and dinners and breakfasts we had in the Ghillie restaurant were excellent. A very memorable start to our visit to Scotland for all good reasons.

A lovely town surrounded by beautiful countryside - a bit like stepping back in time - One gets a feeling little has changed over the years - Some wonderful surprises however as there is a new cafe on the high street - fabulous food and ambience - delicious coffee - Lack of a proper sign would have you walk by if you're not paying attention! An exceptional bookshop and some wonderful craft shops are worth checking out - including a very interesting gallery/ clothes shop full of colourful murals and state of the art crafts and cards. A good mix of old and new!

Lovely wee town, plenty places to eat, have coffee or a drink and we went a lovely walk down past the pharmacy and past the schools, takes you down past the golf course to a little boating pond you can walk around and come back the other side of the golf course. Recommended to us by the guy in the Elphenstone Hotel.

We were quite late arriving but we were still welcomed and shown to our lovely, bright, large room. There was a fridge with milk and water in, which for me was great as I dislike the little pods of milk. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits too. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The Crown pub was a cosy place for a drink.

A lovely little gem.
A lovely little gem. Lots of interesting shops cafes bars and restaurants. Great views to the surrounding hills. The Bigger and Clydesdale museum is well worth a visit. We spent a lot of time in there. Particularly liked the old street and there is lots of information on the origins and history of the town. The Cross Keys was full of friendly locals and a lovely friendly barmaid and the food was good in the Elphinstone and the Barony. Highly recommend a visit to Biggar.

A decent array of independent shops with all the essentials covered. Post Office, restaurants, pubs and hotels. Quite difficult to get a meal as most places booked up due to COVID restrictions. A little scruffy in places but not too bad overall.
Perfection is all I can really say!!
Everything you could want and need for a wonderful, comfortable, cosy stay.
Beeswing is a lovely home, and feels like home when staying there. All the little homely touches are marvellous!
Biggar is a special little town and has such a buzz about it. This is our second visit to Biggar and it was as wonderful as the first time.
We had some car trouble and the hosts went above and beyond to help us in a stressful situation. Thank you again, we can't wait to return.
Very warm welcome by Charles, nice well appointed room and didn't feel I needed to lock my room, felt like home from home. The cottage is a very short distance to good pubs serving food and also a restaurant.
Breakfast was Continental, and had a nice chat with Charles, had all I needed to eat but there was more if I wanted it. Very happy to recommend No4 and will stay again when next overnight in Biggar
Lovely room in a beautiful house with an amazing host! Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area. The bed was so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful overnight I had an amazing sleep. The host was so welcoming I honestly felt like I was speaking with a family member, made me feel so at home and could not have been more helpful. Literally feel like it was such a bargain.
Friendly welcome. We took two bedrooms for our family and were happy they were right next to each other. One very large room with a double bed & bunk beds, one double bedroom. Comfortable beds. Good thick curtains to keep the room dark at night. We pre-ordered the cooked breakfast, which was efficient and tasty the next day. Parking directly in front of the hotel.
My partner and I always enjoy visiting Biggar, so we loved staying within walking distance of the shops. The studio was nice, cozy, and in a nice, quiet location. The host put great thought into making our stay comfortable by providing a great selection of items for breakfast and stocking the studio with everything we needed during our stay.
Great location, ideal for Cornhill house to attend a wedding. Short taxi ride using Big Red taxis reliable and very friendly as was all the hotel staff. Ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Great choice and very good food and drinks.
Will use again with no hesitation
The full breakfast was delicious well cooked. The service was fast. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful during our stay and made you feel welcome. The bedroom was cosy and clean and beds very comfortable. Great location to stay to explore the area
The staff were lovely and really seemed to enjoy working at the hotel.
I liked that the staff profit share scheme and the Living Wage employer info were displayed as it infers these items are important to the company.
Breakfast and dinner were really tasty too.
Beautiful house with tasteful decor and very homely. Spotless and extremely comfortable. Would have loved to stay longer but hope to go back in the future. This property certainly is a little gem right in the heart of Biggar.
Great location with free parking and Biggar high street a one minute walk away. Friendly host looked after all your needs. Would definately recommend staying if you are visiting the area. Good value stay.
The room was well thought out and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would go back again, it was well placed as a stop off hotel.
