It was our second time staying at Taychreggan and we loved it even more this time around. The hotel is absolutely stunning; beautiful decor, rooms, garden; everything is gorgeous. The staff are super welcoming and friendly and can’t do enough for you! They are also really inclusive of dogs and gave us a choice of room as we had two with us, so the manager allowed us to view both rooms and see which we felt was more suitable for us which was lovely. The additions of dog towels, treats and toys is also such a lovely touch. The food is out of this world; it is absolutely delicious! They have a good choice of dishes on the menu so definitely something to suit everyone. The room itself was beautifully clean, as well as the entire hotel! You can tell the team take a lot of pride in Taychcreggan and it really shows. It is probably our favourite hotel to stay in in Scotland and we will forever recommend it to others.

In a tranquil setting on the banks Loch Awe, Taychreggan Hotel offers elegant accommodation and high-quality dining. With free parking and WiFi, this hotel is around 20 miles from Oban, where ferries depart to the Isle of Mull. Each room has a flat-screen TV, alarm clock, telephone and tea and coffee facilities. All have an en suite bathroom with a bath, and a hairdryer, toiletries and bathrobes. The hotel has fine views of the surrounding mountains, and some rooms look out over the loch and gardens. Full Scottish breakfast is served each morning at Taychreggan Hotel. The restaurant offers a full a la carte dinner using the finest of local produce in addition to this the property also provide a small supper menu within the bar lounge. Snacks, cakes and coffees are served all day. Originally a cattle drover’s inn, this Highland hotel lies just over 30 miles from the pretty town of Inveraray and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The port of Oban is approximately 30 minutes drive and ideal to enjoy for a day out.
