A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

Would definitely visit Blackpool again but would stay in a different hotel .
The location was ideal as close to Winter Gardens , the Centre Pier and the beach .
Trip on a tram from Starr gate to Fleetwood is £6-60 per person for all day travel on the tram and bus , great day out.
The piers are worth a walk around just be wary of the wobbly planks .
Comfy trainers are A must as you end walking A lot further than you expect especially if the weather is glorious and warm.
A good variety of place s to eat but be aware that Wetherspoons is absolutely crammed from around 5pm-8pm.

Apart from the accomodation not being as described online, we had a fab time. We are a family with young children so we would highly recommend The Gruffalo & Friends-well organised, kept the kids active and entertained, and the photo opportunities with the characters was a nice touch.
Sealife-was one of the best we have visited, the kids loved it.
Madame Tussauds- again, kids enjoyed this too especially the music and marvel sections!
The highlight of our trip has to be the Tower Circus...its a must! The kids are still talking about it now!!!
Also, a new addition since we last visited is the Elephant trail...we all loved spotting a new one whether it was among the attractions, on the seafront or in the town centre!!!

Much maligned but you know what you're getting.
Good for pubs/bars/shows/entertainment.
Area behind South Shore unfortunately very run down,
North shore alot nicer and smarter.
Evidence of poverty with several street people begging.
Stayed here for a few nights but didn't book breakfast, but would like to say what a credit to Agnes and David for such a superb hotel..clean, modern and the little finishing touches that make it so special, anyone booking this place will love it nothing negative to say about it at all, the location is so good too only a few mins walk into Blackpool, very central, will be back in the near future...a really warm welcome too from such a lovely couple who make you feel like a family member nothing too much trouble, a credit to you !!
Cheap hotel right next to a tram stop. Surprisingly the entertainment wasn't too bad.
If you want a cheap stay in Blackpool then this is passable as an option. Don't expect the best for the price. If you used to 5 star then keep looking. We just wanted a cheap few nights away with our daughter and didn't expect the hight of luxury so we wernt disappointed with the place. Dont book and then complain because the staff do understand that there are some problems.
Hotel is exceptionally neat, clean and tidy. Hotel manager Steve is very friendly and welcoming. He looked after us very well. Breakfast is amazing and many more facilities that surpassed our expectations. Definitely coming back for long or short term stays. Best family friendly hotel in Blackpool and on top its situated within walking distance to seaside and all attractions and amenities. Again, special thanks to Steve to make our staying magical.
The owner was lovely and happy to help us and made sure we had everything we needed for the room. We was given a better room than we booked this was due to it being quiet and was happy to up grade the rooms and was told this when we arrived. The room we was in was a decent size with shower for the price with a cumbered and draws for clothing. The location of the hotel is fantastic nice and easy to get to the main parts of Blackpool.
The Adonis Hotel Blackpool is in the centre of Blackpool. It is a very low budget hotel, therefore the only extra in the room was tea/coffee making facilties. It is very convenient for an overnight stay as it is close to Winter Gardens and next to Blackpool tower and the seafront. The staff were really lovely and helpful. Contact with the hotel was good and parking is available at the front of the hotel for just £10 per night.
I'd definitely recommend The Lindum Hotel in Blackpool for being very reasonably priced, in a great location close to The Tower, The Wintergardens and the seafront, and most of all it was spotless clean. Really nice twin room and clean modern bathroom. Also breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked each morning. Kay and Gerard are very friendly hosts and I would stay here again.
Great small hotel near the seafront at Blackpool South Pier, but on a quiet street. Clean and in good decorative order throughout. Tram stop just a few minutes' walk away. Well decorated bar area/lounge. Great cooked breakfast, in addition to cereal and orange juice. The owners couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, and great communication on the day of arrival.
While the room was more than a little aged and cramped and a hot shower was a gamble, the Walford more than made up for it with their very welcoming staff and superb breakfasts. Within a single morning, we all felt like family and were very well looked after. I’m sure I’m misspelling their names, but Lynne, Gary and Gail are some of Blackpool’s best!!
2nd time in Blackpool and 2nd time at this hotel, wouldn’t go anywhere else! Rooms are clean, beds are so comfortable. For the price you can’t go wrong tv, shower and the staff are always nice and helpful they even help get bags from your car which was lovely.Excellent location very quiet and close to seafront.
Room was excellent we didn't have time to use the pools. We went to see a show in Blackpool so we didn't get back till late the entertainment looked good but we was too tierd to stay up. We couldn't hear any noise from our room. Best stay we have had in Blackpool and will deffo be using this hotel again ☺️
As a regular visitor of blackpool for many years this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in! The owners are welcoming and friendly, the hotel is very clean and tidy, very good prices and the breakfast was fantastic. Definantly recommend to family and friends. We will be booking again.
The house is amazingly clean modern and has a lovely location and it's a 5 minute drive to Blackpool seafront. We also ordered a lovely Chinese takeaway which was delivered fast. The garden area of the property is lovely for sitting outside and is stunning and modern.
Close to the beach, pleasure beach and Blackpool South train station.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the decor amazing. I would have loved to have stayed longer and experienced an evening in the beautiful bar.
Breakfast was amazing.
The owners and staff were outstanding. They made such an effort to make me feel special for my birthday. The hotel room had everything, iron, hairdryer etc. The breakfast was delicious and great location to Blackpool attractions.
In all had a good time and chill. Hotel was good to get about and see the lot of Blackpool
Staff are great and entertainment great.will be back for my next stay
