Very nicely appointed, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Lots of little extras. We were particularly delighted that our host had put some milk and butter in the fridge and a packet of chocolate biscuits on the table as a welcome pack.

Ground floor garden flat - The Hideaway - a charming oasis of comfort and relaxation in the middle of Swanage. Comfortable, clean, quiet and close to everything. 3 fluffy towels each. All washing and drying up stuff is provided along with dishwasher and washing machine tabs, cooking oil, salt and pepper, oven gloves, soap and toilet roll. Tea, milk, and instant coffee as well as ground coffee for the French press are all waiting for you and if you let me know you're bringing your animal companions there'll be something yummy for them too. Easy access throughout - no steps. Self check-in. Ground floor entrance into the spacious dining area and full double sofa bed. Through to the bathroom (with shower over bath) the large bedroom with casual seating, and on to the pretty walled garden and barbecuing area. Stroll to the sandy beach in 5 minutes. Local shops and pubs are on your doorstep. It is a great place to stay for beach holidays, walking trips and sightseeing tours with magnificent coastal scenery and sheltered bays. There is unrestricted on-road parking outside. Sometimes it may be busy in which case there is other free on-road parking a minute's walk away up Priest's Road. The Hideaway is amongst other residential properties and has a Minut decibel monitor to ensure we don't upset our neighbours and noise levels for guests are kept within normal residential boundaries. My welcome book has lots of local information but please message me if you need to know more.
I live close by and am contactable throughout your stay. I will let you know the keysafe combination and my emergency number the day before your stay. I am an experienced host with over 100 5* reviews on airbnb. I clean the property myself and like to make sure the place is spotless and has everything you will need. I work for a local animal rescue charity and my family and I have put down roots in this gorgeous place.
Based in the heart of Swanage, the quintessential Victorian seaside town. You have easy access to cafes, shops, pubs, and The Mowlem theatre & cinema, as well as the sheltered, sandy, gently-shelving beach. Step outside and hear the softly tolling church bells and the toot of Swanage Steam Railway trains which can transport you to hauntingly beautiful Corfe Castle. Swanage is bordered by rolling hillsides with Old Harry Rocks on the northern shores and the Dorset coastal paths stretching right round the bay to Durlston Country Park, well worth a visit, down to Anvil Point Lighthouse. The cliffs of the Isle of Wight can be seen across the sea and reached by ferry from nearby Poole. As an old quarry town, Swanage's stunning architecture surrounds you. Churches abound and interesting views present themselves at every turn. There are many interesting places nearby: Knoll Beach and Studland Bay - 4 miles of sandy beach sheltered by the bay, woodland walks, historic landmarks, and outstanding natural beauty. Search National Trust Studland Bay, Internationally renowned Monkey World rescue centre. Peveril Point Lighthouse near Durlston Castle with beautiful walks and scenery.
