The room was superb. A tiny bit noisy because it was on the street side, but the village is generally quiet. We arrived late and had the Big Night In plateau with a pint. Absolutely perfect. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel and the food at dinner was one of the best meals I've ever had in the UK as a whole.

Don't normally do reviews but for Stow Lodge we are making an exception. First stayed at this hotel in 1979 for our honeymoon. Hotel still owned by the same family 44 years on which says something nowadays. Staff still as helpful, friendly and cheerful and hotel still has that homely feel. Meal in restaurant on the night we stayed couldn't' be faulted, quality of food and quantity was exceptional even I remarked on the qaulity of the Creme Brulee which is most unusual.

Such a caraterist historical little village, with an enchanting and peaceful feeling. Every corner, and every building, is so picturesque and deserving photos. Our main meals were at the Stow Lodge Hotel, food quality superb and good value for money. Loved the antique shops and local cafes.

Pretty little Cotswold town with lovely honey coloured stone everywhere.
There is free parking at the local Tesco supermarket, five minutes walk from the town. The town square has is very spacious and also has parking.
If you like coffee and beer, you are in for a treat. There is an abundance of tea and coffee rooms as lots of decent pubs, including the Porch Inn which claims to be England's oldest.
The townhall is worth a visit as it has a very elaborate upstairs hall.
Make sure you get a photo of yourself stood by the two Yew trees that grow at the front door to St Edwards Church - very iconic.
Lots of National Trust properties nearby too.

Lovely market town, with some great gastro pubs.
Especially the Queens Head pub at the end of the square. Landlady Anna and the bar staff Eva really looked after us and we had a great dinner there.
Another tip is the famous Scott’s of Stow kitchen shop and their outlet store full of bargains upstairs.

This is a magnificent hotel. The rooms are luxurious and roomy and very well equipped. The beds and linen were immaculate and crisp and clean and very comfortable. the towels were lovely and soft. the hot water and shower and bath were amazing. the tea, coffee and complimentary sherry and sweets were a surprise.
the tv was great and the location was only minutes away from all bars and restaurants
we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to visit Stow on the Wold.
A characterful hotel. Rooms were in keeping with the Cotswold aesthetic with stone walls and very comfy beds. We slept very well even though our room overlooked Sheep Street. The restaurant was large and surprisingly modern with a good menu and range of drinks. We ate in the hotel for one evening and were very happy. The Sheep was the perfect base for revisiting all the places we visited on our first holiday together in 1984, and many new places too!
Apart from staying in such a historic place. It was cute, cottage like and rustic. The rooms were cozy and very comfortable. The bathrooms in the room were exceptional. The bar and the dining experiences were wonderful. The staff was amazing. I can go on and on about this property.
Saying in the Cotswolds alone is a bucket list item, but staying in Stow on the Wold, especially a the Porch House was a special experience.
Fantastic location in Stow marketplace with the added bonus of private parking behind the hotel. The hotel is packed with character and we were very well looked after by the friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was great - freshly cooked to order - and we also enjoyed a good evening meal in the pub on the ground floor. Overall, a really nice place to stay in a historic building in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Very nice hotel, friendly welcome, room immaculate with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. Shower was piping hot and powerful. Enjoyed cocktail in bar by wood burner and a lovely evening meal with plenty options for veggie. A really lovely stay and would recommend.
The location was brilliant, a lovely rustic hotel with great views but still close to places such as Stow on the wold.
Also the breakfast room was great, lots of natural light and spaced out nicely!
