The property was spotless, the bedroom was very large and spacious with everything you could wish for. We were greeted by the owner who was friendly, informative, they even provide fresh milk in a fridge which is so much nicer than the uht and a treat. We loved the area! it had so many dog walks and a pub within walking distance what more could you ask for. I would honestly pay double what they charge and still be over the moon with our stay

Our room was spacious enough for my partner and our dog. It was also nice and clean. Unfortunately we forgot our swimwear so we missed out on using the pool, which looked great.
Ian and Nav were very friendly, cooked a lovely breakfast and provided helpful information on places to eat in the evening.
It was a good location to visit the quieter side of the lakes, we went to Ennerdale water for the first time, and it had picnic benches and a good stone track along the side of the lake which would be good to walk along in all weathers.
We also enjoyed visiting the harbour in Whitehaven and the sandy beach at St. Bees.
This charming B&B is set in an 1863 Victorian villa with original features including high ceilings and sash windows. It offers attractive rooms with free Wi-Fi, 5 minutes’ walk from Whitehaven.

The property is a little way out of the main town, less than a 5 minute drive, which was nice as it was very quiet and it had enough parking outside the property to accommodate the guests staying.
Very well kept, clean and tidy with modern decor around traditional features.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and had offered some recommendations for places to eat in their information book, which we tried and were suitably impressed by.
Breakfast was delicious, we had the full English with toast, tea and juice and that set us up for the day.
We stayed in large room which was clean and tidy, with plenty of storage space, good facilities including a hair dryer, hot and cold drinks and some biscuits, which were replenished for our second night, and also shampoos, etc in the ensuite bathroom.
The beds were really comfy and we both slept very well.
We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area and we are very happy to recommend the Corner House to anyone wanting a super place to stay in Whitehaven.

The Location is good for visiting and walking around the local area. Unfortunately for us the weather was awful but we still had good visits to Cockermouth and Whitehaven.
The Hound Inn is 100 yards up the road is a lovely pub but has limited opening hours and they are fearful for their future.
The immediate area is very run down but we found it very peaceful at night.
We had meals at our accommodation so didn't eat out.

Good value accommodation can be booked here.
Good value accommodation can be booked here. Location close to some of the great places in the Lake District (waterfalls, castle, walks, triathlons), not too long drive. The village itself got great walks which are used for training- running or for walks. Good pub, dog-friendly places all around. Very quiet place but not far from the motorway. Easy free parking. Large petrol station not far from the village with all you need, + Greggs, Subway.
