We loved the welcoming, friendly staff and how the owners were so dog friendly even providing a sausage for our dog every morning at breakfast and a box of doggie treats and essentials in our room.

In the Peak District, The Sycamore Inn is a beautifully refurbished country inn. Located in the quaint village of Birch Vale, The Sycamore has 5 en suite rooms and free parking. The Sycamore’s restaurant serves traditional home cooked food, whilst the bar provides large comfortable sofas and an open fire. All the rooms in this traditional inn also have baths. 7 miles from the spa town of Buxton, and 15 miles from Manchester, Birch Vale is excellently situated for hikers and mini breaks to the countryside. The Sycamore is set beside the popular Sett Valley Trail which leads to the foot of the spectacular Kinder Scout, the Peak District's highest point and part of the Pennine Way National Trail.
