The hosts Noreen and JP were amazing, they were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. They are a lovely couple and gave us plenty of ideas on what to do and see. The room had the most comfortable bed, and the breakfast was exceptional. We definitely recommend the Vandees to anyone and we hope to return. Thank you

Set in the tranquil Northern Irish countryside, The Vandees offers boutique bed and breakfast accommodation. Free private parking is possible on site, and free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout. Located in a quaint country house in the secluded hamlet of Aghalee, The Vandees is decorated with stylish, contemporary furnishings to ensure a relaxing, peaceful stay. Our home is situated in a secluded area and surrounded by the green fields of the beautiful Northern Irish countryside. We are 30 min away from the bright lights of the city so perfect for guests who are seeking a peaceful and relaxing break. We grow our own vegetables and I love to cook especially fresh soda bread and banana bread for breakfast. Noreen's nettle tea has become a guest favourite along with her homemade nettle hair tonic which are both available to buy during your stay.
Aghalee is a small hamlet 30 min outside Belfast and a 5min drive from Lough Neagh.It borders counties Armagh,Antrim and Down and is therefore and ideal base for exploring Northern Ireland.It situated on Route 94 of the National Cycle Network which consists of quiet country roads.The village consists of a grocery store/post office/off license, fish & chip shop and chinese takeaway.
