Just a few seconds’ walk from Weymouth’s pretty harbour, The Wadham provides stylish en suite rooms. With the sandy beach and Esplanade just at the end of the street, this Dorset guest house enjoys an excellent location on the Jurassic Coast, and offers free Wi-Fi. All rooms at The Wadham have en suite facilities with shower. Rooms have a flat-screen TV, hairdryer, iron and tea and coffee facilities. The Tudor House Museum is just across the harbour and 6 minutes away from this guest house. A number of quayside bars and restaurants are also close by.

Company information

We took over the business in June 2021. Before that Ian ran a successful kitchen and bathroom company for 20 years, & Tracie owned a nail salon for 30 years. We decided to fulfil our dream in 2021 of living on the coast. We love history and Weymouth is certainly steeped in it. Our building is over 250 years old, & we enjoy taking in the architecture so of many buildings in Weymouth. We love walking around the harbour and feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful place. We love the sea and enjoy cold water swimming and paddle boarding ( well Tracie does Ian doesn't do cold). We also love 40's & 50"s music and have a jukebox and partake in jiving when we have the energy. We love living and working in this stunning part of the world. Ian & Tracie Would like to extend a warm welcome to The Wadham. It is our aim to provide our guest with a homely, comfortable, & friendly stay. As we pride ourselves on ensuring our guests experience, is all that you expect from your break in Weymouth. The Wadham is enviably situated right in the heart of old Weymouth's picturesque working harbour. Our award winning beach is only a 3min walk. We have a collection of superb restaurants, pubs & cafe's, all of which are within a very short walking distance. We are a room only accommodation. However, you will spoilt for choice. As there are so many lovely local eatery's for breakfast or even brunch, either in a beautiful tea rooms or maybe just taking in the atmosphere in on the harbour whilst sipping your coffee. Our building is 250 years old it is a listed building. It has beautiful symmetry. It's very grand, with 5 floors with lots of original Georgian features. It has been called Wadham House since it was built in 1765 & been a guesthouse since the 1920's. All our rooms are individually decorated to a high standard. We have taken care to ensure that your room provides you with all the little extras to make you stay easy. All the rooms have en-suite showers, TV, USB points, hairdryers, straightener's, fans, irons & ironing boards, free WIFI, small fridge, hospitality tray, drinking water, a full range of complimentary toiletries, luxury bedlinen & carefully chosen beds for your upmost comfort. We also provide wine/beer glasses for those pre dinner drinks. PARKING We recommend that you contact us regarding your travel arrangements. If you are travelling by car we will do our best to assist you with parking. FREE overnight parking from 6pm to 8am in all council car parks. Please contact if you have mobility restrictions and we can advice you which rooms would be the most suitable.

Neighbourhood information

The Wadham is ideally located to enjoy the diversity that she offers. Why not take the time to enjoy the picturesque harbour, with it selection of fine dining, gourmet pubs, good old fashioned fish & chips, tea rooms & healthy eating options. Watch the many boats come and go with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. You could get a thrill taking a speed boat ride around the bay, ( you may be lucky and see the dolphins). Or for a more relaxed approach take a leisurely cruise by ferry to Portland, on My Girl she rescued soldiers from Dunkirk in WW2. There is a unique selection of shops in the old Weymouth, which is a few yards away. Meander through the streets, they offer a great range of unique boutique shops, plus selection of high street shops for those essentials. The award winning beach is just a 3mins walk away so, go for a dip, hire a paddle board or take out a peddalo. Watch the world go by with a ice cream on a lovely deckchair watching the many activities on the beach, from donkeys punch & Judy & beach volleyball. Weymouth's night life is so diverse, the Pavilion theatre offers a great selections of shows. Or just watching the sun fade whilst enjoying some taps & a cocktail or two along the esplanade. There is always a vast selection of music in Weymouth, either in the many pubs, on the beach, or casual pianist on the harbourside. So much more to do the list is endless.
