Very friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room and bed.
Nice breakfast.
Offering a seasonal outdoor pool. The St Enodoc Hotel is located in Rock in the Cornwall Region. The hotel has a terrace and views of the river, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar.

This hotel is just Outstanding.Beautifully restored. Beautifully located. The room, the bathroom, the bed, the breakfast. The lasting "like was the interaction with owner James and long term "front desk person Helen. So hands on and welcoming. We have stayed in a lot of B&B type accommodation all over the world and this hotel clearly makes our top 5 list. Would strongly recommend the St. Enodoc.
Polzeath Beach House is a new contemporary Boutique Hotel, opened in 2020. Overlooking Polzeath Beach, it is a 2-minute walk down to the sea and large sandy beach.

the location is stunning, right on the beach. we had parking right out front so easy to carry stuff in. I love the surf shack as we brought surf boards and went surfing, it was great to be able to wash our wetsuits and store our boards. we had a breakfast which was also nice. room was comfortable but regret not getting a room with sea view as it looked amazing and sunset was good.
I have been visiting Port Isaac for over 30 years.
I have been visiting Port Isaac for over 30 years. The sea is very attractive, but the village in general appeared tatty, dirty and not gardened. Some houses have expensive renovations, but are sitting empty! The business were similar, which put us off eating at them. The Golden Lion, is full of unchanged character & a good average meal / pint. The jetty fish shop is also good. The co-op is an asset.

Port Isaac is lovely, but access for anyone with walking problems is difficult. It is very steep and not really accessible by car. Parking is at least 20 minutes away.
The School House is a great place to eat.

Port Isaac is a glorious, historic fishing village in North Cornwall. On the harbour level, you'll find a higgledy-piggledy assortment of lanes packed with beautiful, picture-perfect cottages. Also on this level is the beach/harbour itself, a great pub and several tourist shops and restaurants that specialise in locally caught seafood (including Nathan Outlaw's fantastic restaurant).
On Port Isaac's top levels, you'll find shops and more independent restaurants.
It's a really atmospheric, special place, framed by the rugged Cornish coastline. However, be warned: it gets VERY busy in peak season (a nightmare for parking), so consider a stay during quieter times.

It's such a beautiful place to visit all year round.
It's such a beautiful place to visit all year round. Unfortunately, it happened to me to visit it in autumn but anyway, I enjoyed both visits. I believe in summertime it should be outstanding to be there. I would definitely recommend visiting it if you want an escape from the busy city. I would recommend you to visit the Newquay too. It's worth it.

A beautiful, peaceful village. Cornish people so lovely.
A beautiful, peaceful village. Cornish people so lovely. The village is isolated but depicts everything we know it for on the tv and movies (Doc Martin and Fishermen’s Friends). It does not disappoint. But there is much more. artists, nice eateries and gift shops. Also great history and sense of community. It is a relaxed pace to just chill. There are hills and cobblestones streets - but accessible for most. Take a walking tour to find out about history, movie making and life in the village. No access for cars so you must be able to walk everywhere. Do need to use buses or have a car if you wish to explore more of Cornwall. Transport is an issue. Do your research if you are train travellers. If touring then 1 full day and night in Port Isaac a must. Very safe. Loved it! There is a small Co-op. Suggest you take alcohol eg scotch with you if you feel like drink in your accommodation - as not a lot on offer. A range of restaurants. Such fresh seafood. If you have a self contained unit you can buy fresh and eat in. But restaurants offer seafood specials.

It is a beautiful fishing village with lots of good restaurants and shops. Picturesque! We enjoyed our tour of Doc Martin and seeing the scenes from Fishermen’s Friends movie. We would definitely come again but find a day trip would have covered it along with the terrific hike to Port Quinn.
Great location in the little town of Port Isaac. It is a very small cottage and typical of most homes in the area. Once we got used to being snug and had unpacked and stowed our luggage under the bed we found that everything we needed to be comfortable was in fact there. The bed was comfortable and the duvet fluffy and warm. The heaters were efficient and warmed the cottage up quickly. From the bedroom window you can see the harbor and with it open a little we could hear the ocean at night - lovely.
Perfect location overlooking the Port Gaverne harbour and a short walk to Port Isaac. Lovely and quiet. We found the bedrooms comfortable with two upstairs and one down. Both bathrooms are upstairs. There is parking for one car. We had a lovely week here and would definitely recommend The Rockies.
Cornish Rock Tors operate from Port Gaverne, just a short walk down the hill, and our favourite outdoor experience in Cornwall was their guided Sea Kayak tour.
We used Plain Street Cottage as a base whilst walking on the South West Coastal Path. It was ideally situated near to Port Isaac so that we could park there each day. If we had wanted to use the bus it was also directly on the 56 route which runs between Newquay and Port Isaac. The cottage was very homely and had all of the amenities that we required. Whilst we didn't meet Zoe she gave very clear and timely instructions on how to find the property.
The location is great and a bit quieter than the nearby hotspots.
The hotel itself is cosy. The rooms are small but it’s a very old building. Nice decor and good facilities, love the toiletries.
Breakfast was delicious! We also had an evening meal here which was good. We often sat outside the pub for drinks. Service was a little slow but it was very busy and the staff are all warm and friendly.
Would definitely recommend staying here.
The slipway is in a perfect location just opposite the slipway -
- the staff were very friendly and professional
- Rooms very clean although small but that’s to be expected in an old pub / hotel
- Lovely shower which was welcomed after a long hot walk
- All the staff were hot on covid procedures
- food was delicious both at dinner and breakfast - smoked salmon benedict was fantastic!
Definitely recommend staying and eating here
A wonderful location for visiting Port Isaac! No matter where you stay you will be trekking uphill half the time, but the views from the living room and one of the upstairs bedrooms make this location delightful. There is a grocery store only a 3-minute walk away, and Port Gaverne is only a 10-minute walk as well. When we left an item behind the management was very helpful in retrieving it helping us have mailed back to the U.S.
The location, the view, and the property met and exceeded our expectations. The town is wonderful and the hotel puts you in the middle of it. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Even on a chilly night it was great to crack the window and listen to the waves crashing in the bay. The staff was extremely friend and wonderful to talk with. Breakfast was included and was delicious. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel.
nothing not to love! wow it was a dream come true to stay here with our family of six. do not hesitate to book this once in a lifetime property! we even loved it so much we got some local seafood and cooked one night of our trip. you can walk to the Harbour with a drink in hand in one minute. the best rental we have ever booked!!! thank you for such a lovely memory we will always treasure
The locaation was excellent for visiting port isaac a nice 20 minute walk through country lanes, and the shuttle service was excellent for getting back up the hill. The hotel staff James Jamie Arnie and the team were so friendly nothing was too much trouble, could not find any fault with anything, would definately recommend a stay at the longcross hotel.
Location was perfect, as just 5-6 minute drive to Polzeath, Port Isaac and Port Quin.
Cosy apartment and very warm.
Amazing coastal walks nearby.
Coop just 5 minutes drive away.
Milk in the fridge was appreciated for arrival cup of tea! Tea and coffee also provided but no sugar. I had some sachets fortunately
We were able to have our large Labradoodle in the family room (last one available as late booking) and all the staff and most of the guests were very dog friendly - he had a great time! Lovely muted colours decor and furnishings - great seaside hotel. Breakfast good too.
The Gallery is in a great location, overlooking the beautiful harbour of Port Isaac. The room was a good size with a very comfortable big bed. The staff were really helpful, accommodating and made our stay even better! We’d definitely stay again!
Quiet, comfortable room in a family home. Plenty of closet, drawer, and under bed space. Good heat and hot water. Coffee, tea, and shortbread in the room. Friendly host with good communication. Good breakfast. Free parking. Near Port Isaac.
Perfect location but easy to get out of the Village for wider exploring. Car parking space is a massive bonus. We have been visiting Port Isaac for over 20 years and this is the best all round cottage we have stayed in
Our rooms were spacious and clean, and beds were comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent, and our one meal in the hotel dining room was very good. Both the restaurant and bar service was excellent.
breakfast and dinner were good, well prepared and well served.
Staff also ran us to a nearby town we wanted to see, where parking was difficult, and then picked us up. Real bonus points for that
Great Location. One of the best you could find in Port Isaac. Literally few seconds walking from the Harbour, from the fish market, from local restaurants and cafe. It was magic :)
