Lia (the host) is the warmest, friendliest, kindest and most genuine person. Her house is full of beautiful arts, walls decorated with her daughter's and her paintings and it feels very homy. Lia speaks fluent English and Russian (probably other languages too) and shared most enticing stories. She made us most delicious breakfast and played wonderful pieces of music on the piano for a great start of the day. She owns two properties which surround small but very enjoyable outdoors area. We stayed in the new one (only 1 year old) so the door brought us straight to the garden. Parking was available right in front of the property, WiFi was excellent and the room was very clean. The place is walking distance from the main sites in Gori.

Gori: A Day Trip from Tbilisi
Gori is a small and quiet town in central Georgia, with a population of around 50,000 people. It is best known as the birthplace of Joseph Stalin, and it is home to a number of Stalin-related museums and attractions.
Gori is a good enough place to visit for a day trip from Tbilisi, but there is not much to see or do otherwise. The main attractions in Gori are:
Stalin Museum: This museum is dedicated to the life and legacy of Joseph Stalin. It contains a large collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents related to him. The museum isn't well-organized and informative, and thus it is helpful to have a guide to explain the exhibits in more detail. There were photos of several men, but no real explanation as to who they were. We tried to find a guide who could explain things to us, but due to a language barrier, we failed at this. The ticket price is 15 GEL (6 USD) per person.
Gori Fortress: This medieval fortress is located on a hilltop overlooking the city. It offers underwhelming views of the surrounding countryside. The fortress is in ruins and didn't really feel like it was worth a climb.
Hero Memorial: It had cool giant sculptures but with no real explanation.
I also ate at Berkin Restaurant in Gori. The food was nice, but the prices were similar to Tbilisi, so it is not a budget-friendly option.
It's clear they are very new to tourists.
Overall, Gori is a worth a visit if you are interested in learning more about Joseph Stalin or Georgian history. However, there is not much else to see or do in the town, so it is best to visit as a day trip from Tbilisi.

I've been to Gori several times of the past years. The cutleti is awesome and the fortress is a fun place to explore. Aside from the infamous Stalin museum, there is a interesting ethnographic museum and the war museum.

We have fallen in love with Gori, it is one of our most favorite places to stay now. One of the best restaurants in Georgia call Gori home, from the ruins, to the temple to the Castle, slowly walking through oldtown or visiting one of the most iconic museums in history you cant stop falling in love with Gori, the rich culture, history and friendly hosts this area has to offer is seldom found outside of major centres around the world, the city successfully hosts their offering to travelers and guests.

Lots to see but do not miss those slightly hiding circle of warriors - all cut up with missing limps and obviously representing soldiers that have been slain in battle. At the base of the castle and behind a church.

A small town with a big heart. Easy to get around..... full of locals who willingly help the lost tourist. Easy to get to Uplistsikhe via mashrutka. Just a lovely place, don't miss it. We stayed for three days but could have stayed for forever!

A very interested area to visit, old history - one need to read a bid more before visiting the city of Gori
Lots of places to visit
If your accommodation is in the center you do not need to have transport, all is within walking distance
Local food is recommended
The family that runs this cellar will welcome you warmly and make you feel at home, they can speak English. The room was clean, comfortable and with private bathroom and shower. The breakfast was abundant and good. The owner can prepare for you a typical Georgian dinner with several wine tastings, for a price even ridiculous for the quality and the quantity of the food offered. He will show you how the wine is made according to the traditions. Value for money was outstanding, position is a few kilometres outside Gori, in a calm area.
This was by far the best hotel/room we had in our trip to Georgia. Great room/apartment comes with a small kitchen, everything is brand new and works great! Nice big patio with a view of the yard. The landlord is such a great person. We will definitely come back! Location is also close from everything. Taking good memories from this place! ❤️🧡 The landlord was really accommodating and was available at all times for all our needs. Wish we had more time to spend in the beautiful town of Gori!
Everything was wonderful! The family that runs this beautiful guesthouse is so warm and welcoming! They treated my husband and I so well! The room we stayed in was very well equipped and the air conditioner worked well. The bed was also very comfortable. They have private gated parking, with cameras perfect for motorcycles! We would recommend this place 1000% to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable stay in Gori! The chacha masters will take excellent care of you!
Lia and her son are the most amazing guests. We never felt just tourist but we really felt at home. The house is beautiful, spotless, the garden is relaxing and Wi-Fi connection working. We also had the extra breakfast with all home made and local products. And Lia gave us great suggestions to visit the town and we eventually changed our plans in Georgia thanx to her informations and knowledge about the country. If you go to Gori you must stay here.
Hostess was generous and smiley, gave me a piece of nice clothing, cheese, watermelon, tomatoes, many thanks. Location was excellent, close to supermarket and stadium (I paid 5 lari and enjoyed a nice soccer match), 20 minutes walk to the fortress. 7 minutes walk to the Public Service Hall where you can catch a bus to Tbilisi in the morning or take a bus to Gori Bus station where you will have more choices of destinations.
We had a “Vip” room downstairs, which is great cozy room with a nice architecture.
Only thing is missing ac and tv, but we stayed only one night in Gori so worked out for us.
Staff that was looking after us was great, always asked if we needed anything, was really nice and even gave us wine on arrival! Location is not great but gori has not much going on anyway! Very cute and cozy hotel I recommend if you stay at gori !
Good, centrally located hotel in Gori with outstandingly helpful personal. As most people, I only stayed one night in Gori, so the hotel was a good spot to stay. It does have a pool, but I didn't use it. It looked good though if you'd like to get a swim in the evening or morning before or after exploring Gori.
Young woman at the reception was extremely helpful in getting us a fare from Gori to Borjomi the next day.
Many hotels have their charms but this one is unique. Emma goes above and beyond to offer an exceptional experience.
From unlimited coffee and tea to the massage chair… And the breakfast is phenomenal. She also was very helpful in arranging transport for me when it was my time to leave.
I left with a very positive impression of this place.
I did not have high hopes for a hotel in this rather small town and was positively surprised. The hotel is modern, clean, has an indoor pool / outdoor sunbathing. Highlight is the complementary wine tasting from 5 PM until 6 PM. Internet worked very well. Great location, easily walkable to everything you want to see or do in Gori.
This hotel surpassed my expectations the most. Everything is so cutemy decorated, new, clean, so much attention and love to details. All kind of information about Gori, complimentary wine, unlimited tea-coffee and even massage armchair included! Emma was superhospitable. Location very quiet and close to the center.
Great location and rooms are in excellent condition: everything is new and super clean. we were particularly impressed by the hospitality of the hostess of the hotel: she did her best to make us feel like at home. We absolutely recommend this hotel to all visitors of Gori
Beautiful house with so much character. Makes such a big change from chain hotels.
Only stayed for 2 nights, but I was fully refreshed and chilled at this peaceful location.
Hosts were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to visit in and around Gori.
The hosts are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have stayed in a number of places like this throughout Georgia, and this has been our best experience so far. I would definitely come back here again when we are back in Gori.
Lia's beautiful home and generosity, her morning piano concerto, the magnificent paintings by Lia and her family, the homemade Georgian food, the informal / relaxed atmosphere, central location in quiet neighborhood
Beautiful new hotel/ appartements we had a great stay overhere. Totally recharged 😃 very helpful and friendly staff!!
The beds are great the best we had since we r in Georgia
Beautifully restored old building. Comfortable room, very clean, helpful staff, fantastic food, cross the road from city train station. It’s a fab little hotel.
