A lovely small capital city , very easy to visit in a day or 2. Beautiful scenery and lovely buildings by the Old Harbour . I would recommend hiring electric bikes , then you can cover the whole city in a day . A boat trip up the fjord to see the abandoned villages and icebergs is great . Nuuk Water Taxis helped us with this . There are some good cafes and we particularly liked Mary's Kitchen . Nuuk is a great place to visit, and use as a stepping stone to other places. On a Friday night you can catch a boat ( the Saffaq Ittuq) up to Illulisat .. a fantastic trip .

It's a small place (although large by Greenlandic standards) and not many people go there. But it's modern and quite well appointed with a reasonable selection of eateries, pubs and other facilities. There's probably not a huge amount to see in the town itself, so you'll need to take organised excursions (no roads outside of the town!) or use it as a starting point for a wider tour. The Greenland Museum is small but surprisingly good and worth a visit.
Clean, large, and well-furnished house with nice rooms. My room had a desk, two chairs, TV with cable (mostly Danish channels), and comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was large and clean. The property manager, Maali, was responsive to my questions and requests, including getting a taxi to the airport for me on the day of my departure. When I needed to extend my stay because my flight was cancelled, there wasn’t a problem at all. Maali was very accommodating.
The staff here goes above and beyond and the hostel feels like home. I would happily stay there again and recommend it to anyone travelling through Nuuk. They were renovating the second bathroom while I was there which meant there was only one available for all guests. We managed just fine even with 6 people in the house. The terrace/ balcony is fantastic for coffee breaks/ sunsets and the kitchen is beautiful. You'll find everything you need there.
Greenland is expensive so having the possibility of a room with shared bathroom helped to keep costs down. Soma is a chain and the branches in other towns recognized my phone so I had free internet even though I wasn't staying there.
The hotel is near the port so it is both convenient for the coastal ferry and much more scenic than hotels in the center. The views from the breakfast room were wonderful and the breakfast itself was good
Amazing. If you are staying in Nuuk and are looking for a room, I would definitely recommend you to stay in Nuuk City Hostel. The room was good, also the community area nice and clean. It's easy to check in yourself. My flight from Reykjavik to Nuuk got cancelled and I arrived there one day later, lost 1 night. They refunded me the lost night without complications. Will definitely stay there again, if I come back to Nuuk one time.
The staff was there when I arrived, and they were helpful. The lack of the staff for my entire was stay made me wonder how this is called a hotel. The room was nice. The restaurant was nice, and the set up was convenient. The room was comfortable, as were the bathroom, shower, bed, TV, etc. The restaurant was good too, if somewhat overpriced.
Large rooms compared to popular nearby hotels. Nice kitchen area with large fridge. Location conveniently a ten minute walk from the centre, but in a very quiet location. Breakfast was more than adequate - not a banquet but all you really need. Television in room modern and accepted Apple Airplay casting connection. Fast internet.
The staff is fantastic. Everyone helped make my stay even better with tips on good hikes, information around the National Day program and every day chats.
The hotel and rooms are very new and everything is super clean and the room and lounge are very comfortable. The hotel has an excellent location. Overall I would book it again.
Great location for a short overnight stay. We got booked into this hotel by the Customer Service of Booking team as a replacement booking, after we were left stranded by another property. The lady at the check-in desk was friendly and showed great empathy to our situation. The room was spacious, neat and tidy.
The kindest and overall the best hostess! Thank you, Joanna, you’re truly the best!
The hotel is a good one: everything is new and well maintained. The beds are soft, the shower is better than at home :) , the breakfast is good. 10/10, would certainly book it again if we happen to be in Nuuk once more.
The hotel staff and check in were good. The staff was patient enough to answer all of my questions. They also helped arrange for a taxi early in the morning as I had an early flight out. It was a simple room and all I needed was a bed. I'm never a fan of shared bathrooms, but it was clean and tidy.
In a place without much in budget lodging this place is reasonable. The location is in walking distance from most things you’d want to at Nuuk though not in the center of things. Hostel-like environment
Full kitchen , big living room and big bedroom. Very close to city center and fish market and also good take care from the front desk. I will stay here again if I possibility to come to Nuuk again.
Hotel in a construction/industrial area that seemed to be very dirty and unsafe. Off the usual path. I was surprised to see a hotel in this location - a warehouse would have been more appropriate
Location is super near to the central of Nuuk. Just practically 15 minutes walk.
Amenities is super good in the cabin. Washer, dryer, cooking facilities, heater... Its all in and complete
I loved its location. I didn't rent a car but had no inconvenience because its location was walkable both to downtown and the airport. I enjoyed the view around the facilities as well.
