I was in Brufut for 20 days this trip.
I was in Brufut for 20 days this trip. EVERY day the power went out. Make sure you book at a place with a back-up generator or you will be miserable. There will be no air, no fan, no wi-fi, no TV, no lights, and very, very hot. Make sure to see if there are excessive bugs in your unit.

Perfect location if you want to be in a not-so-touristic place. The town lives its life, it is safe, people are friendly. You must see the boats in the port! At the inverted wreck you will meet Jud, who will offer you something tasty and talk about any topic. Try also sandwiches sold on the street (at the police station).
Tired of the day in the sun, you can relax at Mango Lodge with a tasty dinner and a bottle of good African wine. The pool is great.

Very accommodating approach, they will help with everything. Rooms very clean, simply but adequately furnished. Hot water without problems. WiFi sometimes crashes. Breakfast, dinner absolutely great. Perfect location, easy to get everywhere. From the beach about 20min. I recommend Brufut beach. They will help determine the Covid test. Pool clean. I definitely recommend it to everyone, if I return, I will definitely come here.
Hibiscus house was absolutely perfect for what we wanted - a tranquil oasis. A lovely Pool surrounded by trees and birds, good access to other parts of the country through use of the hotel driver and/or taxis. We wanted to be away from the main tourist part but able to access this when we wanted. It was also some of the most delicious food we had in the Gambia. We would definitely stay again.
I appreciated the ambiance of the place and hospitality provided by Paomar. I have found a new home in the Gambia. The location and car service was convenient and centered around all points of the Gambia!!! Electricity & Hotwater were always available as well as cooking space & utensils. The Bed is huge with lots of space. Professionalism at its best. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
We had a wonderful time at Dabo House. They are close to the beach, have a pool, free wifi, AC and a fan (for some hotels you have to pay extra for those) and breakfast was included. The staff was very attentive and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is good because it is not the touristy area so you are not harassed by people trying to sell you stuffs.
The room is huge, good food at the restaurant, and the location is close to the beach, just a short walk downhill (and uphill on the way back). The manager was so sweet. She called us a driver for a trip to the nearby sights. The hotel accepts euros as well as dalasi. Late checkout was available for our midnight flight home. Thank you!
The villa is located near one of the most beautiful beaches in the area! The room is very large, the beds are very comfortable, except for the extra one. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast good, and the food at the restaurant excellent. Wi-fi was working pretty well. Teddy is very cute and he was the hotel mascot! ;-)
Everything. Room equipments and confort. Hotel infrastructure : restaurant (very large choice of delicious dishes and snacks, good wines and cocktails), swimming pool, external showers, direct access to the beach...
Dabo House is a sweet little hotel with plenty of character and kind, thoughtful, accommodating staff. It is convenient to shops, restaurants, and the beach, but in a location that does not feel touristy.

- the Hotel is just at the Beach
- nice host and staff
- offer good tours
- is not in the touristic area, so you will experience the real Gambia
