I visited Volos for one night in order to take part in the 8th Half Marathon. The location was 200m from the starting point, right next to the port parking facility (very helpful should you arrive by car) and right on the sea front promenade. For what I was charged for a couple for one night, both the room and the breakfast really did exceed all my epectations. Since I was running the next morning, I kindly asked for a half hour extension for our room vacating time and the lady at the reception graciously allowed us this extra time.

Enjoy a dinner or a drink on Kipseli’s rooftop terrace, whilst admiring the view of Volos Beach. Coffees and light snacks are available at Kipseli’s beach café, which is open until late in the evening. Next to Kipseli Hotel, you can visit the traditional tsipouradika eating places and taste the local liquor and appetizers. The main market of Volos is also just a short walk away.
