Hello there, I am Manos, owner and manager of CreteVillas4U. I have been in the hospitality sector long before CreteVillas4U, however. I was actually born, grew up, and spent most of my life in a hotel owned by my family. So, I guess it came as no surprise when I expressed my wish to study in Rhodes’ Tourism School and, later on, when I decided to start my own business in the sector. One thing I learned growing up in a family-run hotel is that hospitality is more than hotel management, logistics and operations. It is a culture, passing down from one generation to the next. You can study to be a hotel manager but you cannot study to be hospitable. I apply this philosophy in my business as well. The rule is simple: the guests of the villas I manage are my guests. As an active traveller, I expect nothing less myself. The fourth generation of Dafermos hoteliers has already been born. I know now that my two beautiful children will probably follow my steps, like I did before them. There is a small difference though: they are smarter, more educated, better (big smile). Villa Rodanthi was originally built in 1919 but it was fully renovated in 2013. It is made entirely of stone and wood and decorated with old traditional tools, implements and utensils (sieve, iron, manual sewing machine, old radio tubes, the ironwork of the doors and windows, jars of oil), while at the same time it features all modern amenities, harmoniously combining the old and the new. Follow the paved entry. A stone staircase leads you to a spacious courtyard surrounded by a garden with a stone fountain in the middle and to the main entrance of the house. The villa opens to a large living room with a fireplace, a library and a dining room. Further inside and under the stone arch, you will find a fully equipped kitchen. Villa Rodanthi has four separate bedrooms, Aretousa (detached), Aegean, Erato and Renaissance, each with its very own unique personality and energy. On the 100 sq. m. terrace of the villa there is an oven, a barbecue, a garden with lawn, a large swimming pool (40 sq. m.) part of which is covered from the sun. The view is spectacular since the guest house is located at the top of the hill.

The villa is located at the village of Kastellos in Chania. Kastellos is a picturesque, traditional mountainous village north of the White Mountains, built on the hill of Kastelli, two hundred and ten (210) meters above sea level, 5 km from the beach, 46 km from the City of Chania and 25 km from the City of Rethymno. Due to its elevated position the village has panoramic views of the mountains and the sea of Georgioupolis and Kavros. The privileged location of the villa makes it an ideal starting point for day trips. You can visit the famous Kournas Lake just 5km from the village. They say it is bottomless! There, you will also find some excellent traditional tavernas. The beach of Georgioupolis, a pole of attraction for thousands of visitors every year, is only 5 km away. It is safe and well organized. If you love adventure, a hike at the hills will pay the time and sweat back many times over.
