Villa Mala is situated in the heart of Split in its residential area, in a quiet Hektorović Street in Bačvice. It is only 200 metres (a three-minute walk) from the popular Bačvice Beach and 1 kilometre from the Diocletian’s Palace. The greatest advantage of the accommodation at our Villa Mala is the immediate vicinity of all the cultural and sporting facilities as well as the superb and vibrant gastronomy scene of Split. Built in 1962, the villa was completely renovated and opened to the public in 2022. Architecture wise, Villa Mala represents a modern and bold interpolation amongst the residential villas of Bačvice. The used design elements and materials reflect the time and place in which the reconstruction took place. Tradition and modernism, which are closely intertwined, describe this building best. The property features 6 luxurious and modern apartments, including fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchens and spacious balconies with lounge suites. Each unit is air-conditioned, has a balcony, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, an electric cooktop, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a wine cooler. In addition, the kitchen offers a coffee maker, a kettle and a kitchen island. Conveniently, the property is equipped with a lift and has a parking space. What sets Villa Mala apart from other properties is a beautiful, well-kept lush green garden with its soothing and pleasant ambience where guests can enjoy themselves and cool off during hot summer days and nights. The garden offers a small, sitting outdoor pool, a barbecue and the seating area. It is the ideal place where you can relax, read a book or simply have a drink or snack.
My name is Maja and I live in Brela, a small seaside resort on the coast. I spent my childhood in this beautiful neighbourhood of Bačvice, and now work brings me back to the streets of my youth, to my town Split. Together with my family, I have been working in tourism for many years now. For us tourism is more than just work, it is our life. That is why we are making every effort to be good hosts to our guests and make them feel warmly welcome. I spend my free time with my family and hanging out with my friends. I love playing tennis, travelling; I also enjoy good food and the sea. Together with my daughter Margita, who lives and works in Split, and our housekeeper Suzy, who is at our guests’ disposal at all times, we will do our best to make you feel at home. Villa Mala is situated in the heart of Split in its residential area, in a quiet Hektorović Street in Bačvice. It is located near the famous beaches in Split. It is only 300 metres (a three-minute walk) from the popular Bačvice Beach, only 200 meters (a two - minute walk) from Ovčice beach, 500 meters (a seven - minute from Firule beach ) and 1 kilometre from the Diocletian’s Palace. The greatest advantage of the accommodation at our Villa Mala is the immediate vicinity of all the cultural and sporting facilities as well as the superb and vibrant gastronomy scene of Split. We can recommend you some excellent restaurants : Dvor restaurant ( a three - minute walk ), Maestro Grill Pub, ( a three - minute walk ), Zora Bila, ( a five - minute walk), cake & coffee shop, Cookie lab, ( a five - minute walk ), they have great coffee and croissants, they also serve the best ice cream in town.
