Neidin is the Irish word for Kenmare and translates to Little Nest. A Little Nest is exactly what was envisaged in 1790 when The Lansdowne first opened its door.

From the moment we walked into the hotel we knew we were going to love it there. It oozes quality and charm. We were greeted with a big Irish welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our room was gorgeous and the bed, huge and very comfortable. The food - both dinner and breakfast - was exceptional. Would highly recommend.

The location was very close to town for restaurants etc but far enough away to not hear anything. The breakfast choice catered for everyone. We particularly liked the home baking and we were recommended places of interest for our journey ahead.

I traveled around Ireland for two weeks and stayed in several cities. Kenmare was one of my favorites for shopping, access to music, scenery and the BEST lodging and restaurant at Brooklane. Highly recommend both!

We had a fabulous dinner at The Coachman's pub, sitting outside on a pleasant October evening but there are many other dining options too.

A lovely town which was close to our B&b.
A lovely town which was close to our B&b. Lovely pubs with live music each night and excellent food. Lots of cafes and some git shops too. Beautiful sites to explore in the area like Killarney great park and the gap of dunloe to name but a few. There are stunning mountain views , peninsulas and rivers . A wonderful visit.
I stayed in rooms above pubs the entire week I traveled in Ireland, and this was by far the best.
The room was large and comfortable, and had several features typical to American hotel rooms - desk, ironing board, safe, washcloths. The bath products smelled wonderful. The decor was interesting and up-to-date.
The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options, including fruit and veg, and great coffee.
The location is right in the middle of town, and Kenmare is an excellent base for exploring the Ring of Kerry.
Valhalla BnB is located about 10 away from then center of downtown Kenmare which is prefect for a quiet day, evening and night, yet close enough to enjoy the pub scene. The grounds are very well manicured and we’ll taken care of. Room had everything we needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. The views of the bay from the property are stunning!
The best part of the property was our hosts. Welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive… I can go on.
Do yourself a favor and stay here. You will not regret it.
We visit Kenmare annually and this house was by far the best house we have stayed in thus far. It seldomly happens that the house is better than the pictures, in this case it was. Tina was so helpful throughout and before our stay.
The house is located right in the town, with less than a five minute walk to the centre. The house was very clean and nicely decorated, with added bonuses of WiFi and fuel.
We look forward to returning soon.
The property is excellent and the high standard of the interior was a lovely surprise, it’s well laid out with really comfortable beds and lots of storage.
The staff were very helpful and the wine, chocolates and milk and tea were a really nice touch. I’d highly recommend staying here. Sheen Falls hotel is across the road and offers fabulous dining. Kenmare is a short walk away and the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

We were a family of five with three young children and stayed here for 3 nights. Fantastic house in kenmare town. A 2 minute walk from the town centre in a quiet location. The house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The host was a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend this house to stay in if you’re planning a trip to kenmare.
The staff at Davitts were so helpful and provided invaluable travel information to ensure a wonderful visit around the Ring of Kerry. The food at Davitts was excellent, particularly the breakfast, with a range of dishes made available. Davitts is located in the middle of Kenmare with access to the entire town within 5-10 minutes walking.
