Clean and comfortable. Shower was tiny but good water pressure. Beds were good and the room was big.

Killybegs is a fishing town with a beautiful harbour with restaurants offering very tasty fresh fish dishes daily, and lovely bars if you fancy a tipple, the people are so nice and always have time for a chat. Killybegs is not to far from the historical Donegal town and the seaside resort Bundoran and lots of other beaches spread throughout the county, well worth a visit

This is a great little town and its growing. It has an amazing little sea port you can walk about and has a few great pubs with great food and of course, iced cold beers. Very convenient to everything if you are visiting this area of Ireland.

This is the friendliest place in the world.
This is the friendliest place in the world. So many amazing places to eat with views that are unforgettable.
Strangely there are no bins, not even a dog waste bin. This is the only bad thing I can think of.

Killybegs is a beautiful part of the country, fantastic beaches and great for fishing. Highly recommended to anyone, if it isn’t on your bucket list then you should add it! And don’t forget the Seafood Shack, delicious, fresh seafood cooked right in front of you!

Room is small, but comfortable.
Room is small, but comfortable. The plumbing was not good and the shower was dangerous - the tap barely worked, the water was scalding and not possible to adjust to get cold water. Also, we were in room 9 at the top and right outside the window is an industrial exhaust flue the operates almost continuously and is quite noisy.
Otherwise, the staff were welcoming and cheery.

Killybeggs is an ideal centre for visiting Donegal, southern Donegal at least and there is plenty to see and enjoy. The Wild Atlantic Way ( an Irish tourist Board promotion ) is a very good feature, highlighting many interesting local sights Killybeggs is the largest fishing port on the west coast and the harbour is constantly busy. And of course, the seafood is superb. There are lots of pubs and bars, a good variety of all types of shops and of course, everyone is friendly and helpful. The entire area is remarkably clean and tidy, especially when compared to anywhere in England.
Brilliant stay at Tara hotel, the staff are really friendly and helpful. We dined at Tara and the meal was beautiful. I had fish and husband had a burger. Brilliant two night stay thanks. Also as it was for my birthday the hotel very kindly upgraded us too which was fabulous as we had a room with a view over the harbour which was superb. We also visited Fintra bay which was a 10 minute drive would highly recommend a visit was just beautiful. At night we went to some of the local pubs Fleet bar was brilliantly e music great atmosphere.
Niamh, Thank you for your prompt help whenever we needed to contact you...
We enjoyed our stay and wished we had an extra night...
Killybegs is an ideal place to stay as its so central to so many places around Donegal...
This accommodation has a lovely coffee shop courtyard and lovely restaurants two minutes or less and v close to fintra beach and the Secret Waterfall.
Great space for our family off six and we would go back again...
Thanks again.
Cathy was the best host I’ve had on my trip. She shared stories, and tips for my next days travel. Her home is warm and inviting and has common spaces that make you feel like you have a whole house. The room was small, exactly as I expected because it was exactly as described and as pictured. But it is perfect for a solo traveller, or 2 people who don’t mind being cozy, or are on a budget.
The town house was huge. There was so much space! This is the perfect place to stay especially if you are a large group and exploring Donegal. You could easily stay here for a long trip. It has everything you would need. The location was walking distance to the water, restaurants and coffee shops which was so convenient. We only stayed one night but it was very pleasant.
Everything, The whole building was spotless, the room was really spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, so much choice. Would definitely book again when returning to Killybegs. I was actually surprised at the the value for money. I paid a lot more the night before for a hotel in a different town and it was dreadful in comparison.
The location was perfect- about a 20 minute walk into Killybegs and a short driving distance from other small towns and sites to visit. Very comfortable place. Perfect for 2 people. The bath was so big and lovely to soak in it after a day in the cold. Simple instructions to access the keys and didn’t need to be in touch with hosts about anything.
We had a great stay at Puffin Lodge. The accommodation is beautifully located with a great view of the sea. Also, it's a perfect starting point to explore the beautiful Donegal region. The accommodation had everything we needed, the host was super friendly and very caring. We can highly recommend it and would definitely come again.
The continental breakfast came with a traditional Irish Scone. Yum.
The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the historical and cultural aspects of Killybegs and the surrounding area.
They were very friendly and were a so great to talk visit with.
Lovely location - very secluded, far away from everywhere, yet only 10 minutes into Killybegs. There is everything you need in the cottage including a wood stove for the authentic cottage feeling. Communication with the host was easy and Sean was more than helpful.
The location was as central as possible within Killybegs, with the room having a lovely view of the harbour and its large fishing vessels straight from the bed.
The theme was suitably maritime, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed my stay with David nd Tina in Puffin Lodge. My room was really clean and comfortable and I had my own private walk down to the beach. Would highly recommend if your planning a trip to Killybegs.
Very cosy house in the center of Killybegs with comfy beds. The communication with the host was uncomplicated and he also have us helpful tips concerning sights and restaurants.
Definitely recommended!
Wonderful hosts, very welcoming and great service. Room was lovely and breakfast served was great too. Just a short walk from Killybegs harbour and restaurants, short drive to Sieve League Cliffs.
Beautiful mountainside home just above the town of Killybegs. Owner lives just below and is very responsive. House is comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. Views are spectacular.
