The host was very helpful in allowing us to get in early, as we were sick from what we believe to be food poisoning. The history is fascinating, the grounds are extensive, and the hosts are clearly working very hard on developing the property. The setting is spectacular. I walked out of the building in the morning to find a peacock in full splendor 10 feet from the door. Ducks, dogs and cats are everywhere.

We are surrounded by rolling hills in the countryside but a 4 minute drive to Carrigaline which has great pubs & restaurants!
