Property information

Three existing 100+ year old townhouses in the centre of Roundstone have been converted into five stone clad and wood finished luxury self-catering accommodations, each with their own private outdoor terrace or balcony areas. The interiors and exterior embody the ‘Crafts of Connemara’ and socially conscious designers, suppliers and local artists and craftspeople were sourced for the project. This follows through to the outdoor communal space where the planting reflects the natural landscape and breathtaking views of the area. There are five suites in total with luxury bedding .Three 3 – bedroom, one 2 – bedroom and one 1 – bedroom retreats sleeping from 2 – 28 people . All suites have super king beds and king size beds with In addition to the bedrooms, each have their own kitchen and sitting room area with wood burning stove. Some of the properties have views overlooking the ocean, the mountains, the pier and/or the streetscape.

Neighbourhood information

Today Roundstone is a popular holiday resort renowned among artists and naturalists for the remarkable beauty of the surrounding mountains and seascapes. It has a traditional craft centre and local activities include Connemara Pottery, Connemara Jewellery and Connemara Instrument making. Connemara Farming, Connemara Fishing, Connemara Forestry and Connemara Quarrying are carried out extensively in the area. Two miles from Roundstone, you will find two spectacular beaches, Gurteen and Dog’s Bay who lie back to back forming a tombolo and jut into the Atlantic Ocean. They are a favourite with water enthusiasts due to the crystal clear water and perfect for water based activities. In Roundstone you will find a busy harbour where local fishermen prepare and return with the day’s catch, featuring a mix of Lobster, Crab, Shrimp, Mackerel, Cod plus a wide variety of other fish. Strolling through the town you will discover some fantastic craft shops and places to eat and drink.
