Sligo itself was ok but to be honest we stayed because it was central to the area we wanted to explore.

I judge a place by its people, and to me they make you feel very welcome. Myself &the Mrs go to Sligo Town, at least six times a year for 2/ 3 days at a time. Its home from home, great food , great bars, Trad music, and great to relax. Love Sligo

We were mostly in the Strandhill area which is beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach area where surfers were surfing, and Knocknarea to climb if you have the legs for it! Dinner at The Venue and best we’ve had so far.
The Strand Bar was fantastic too. Fresh sweet seafood!

Sligo is a lovely place, both for itself and its location to explore lots of interesting places nearby. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste.
The man in the tourist office was so nice and helpful. We were sorry that we couldn't go on the walking tour It sounded very interesting .
The one way traffic system is a bit confusing but we got used to it quickly. Actually, I'd advise people to park the car and just walk.. its much quicker.
This is the most centrally located hotel in Sligo with only a 2 minute walk onto the main thoroughfare of shops, restaurants, and bars. It has an excellent underground carpark with a perfectly centrally positioned lift service which renders all facilities accessible to those with disabilities. The bar food is top quality and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and are quick to recognise returning guests.
Extremely clean with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Desi and Mary are two of the nicest, generous people I have ever met. The value they added to our stay was spectacular. We met them as strangers but left them a few days later feeling like they were family. Do yourself a favor and book your stay at the Sligo Sea Barn. Breathtaking views and amazing community with lots to do. You will not be disappointed!
The apartment was extremely spacious. Two adults with two kids and we had three bedrooms, each with their own toilet and shower. A very large kitchen and living room area. The view over the lake was beautiful.
Two nights here was about the same cost as one night in a hotel in Sligo.
Rachel looked after our booking and she was very efficient.
The kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots. The rooms were clean and were not too small. The house was cosy and warm (once we were shown how to turn the heating on). The duvets were good quality and the beds were comfy. It's a really good, central, spot for getting into Sligo town or for touring around the countryside.
Great family hotel! Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Pool was brilliant for kids! Our room was fabulous so spacious and had lovely little treats for the kids , nice little extra from the staff! Breakfast was beautiful, very fresh and great selection! This is definitely now my most favourite hotel in Sligo!
We had a view of the river as requested. Convenient for exploring the town of Sligo could walk form the hotel. The room and facilities were good. The breakfast system was very good charging at different levels not one set price, so continental breakfast, mini breakfast and full cooked breakfast.
Amazing hosts! Great communication. The place was extremely clean, good location and easy to find (just add the Eircode on Google Maps). Close enough to City Centre e and to the N4 which takes to many places around Sligo. The place has everything that you need. Great shower!!
Easy access, good parking -Room was spacious and quiet. Dinner was very good. Breakfast was excellent- Leisure facilities were good .Warm swimming pool- Staff members were very helpful and professional. Perfect location if you need to be near ATU Sligo.
The hotel and restaurant staff were superb. The room was very clean and comfortable with an amazing view. They arranged a little Birthday cake for when we arrived which was a nice touch. I definitely recommend having dinner there as well.
We loved the hotel room, leisure facilities and ambience. Breakfast was excellent & the guest experience manager went above & beyond to provide us with particular historical information about Roses Point 😊
