Pahalgam is beautiful.
Pahalgam is beautiful. Like most of kashmir, its about the views. Book a good hotel and enjoy the leisurely pace. We all felt 3 days is good for this place.
Also don't miss abc valley accessible by taxi (rates are fixed by taxi union). Aru valley and Chandanwari are worth it in april. Betaab valley is lovely, its free to see from top when you go to chandanwari. If you have time you can go down to the valley.
**Take some food if you have a special diet. ABC valley takes more than half day. they are quite close to each other.
Not much available in the valleys except maggie/ bhel/ packet chips.
we skipped baisaran valley as its only accessible by horse and the route is very rough for older people, slippery in rain and lots of horse poop. but I've heard the views are amazing.

There is a nexus of local cabs where they will charge you 2450 for ABC (Arru valley, Betaab valley and Chandanvadi) Our taxi guide took us to some random point 3 kms before Chandanvadi and then took us to Betaab valley and said that the road to Arru valley is shut when someone else went there. So overall felt cheated

I stayed for two short days but I had a wholesome time in there visiting ABC valley. It was the first day of the first snow 2023 and everything looked perfect with hints of autumn still there on the trees. I was blessed.

There was no heating system.
There was no heating system. On the second day of our stay they provided us with an electric blanket but at first tried to avoid it by warning us that it was dangerous to use an electric blanket. Toiletries were limited to a tiny bar of soap. There was no one around most of the time to ask for anything. You have to ask for everything including the mirror in the bathroom which they brought and hung on the wall after asking. They provide homemade food if you ask well ahead of time and serve it on a table in the common space between the rooms.

One must visit Baisaran and Tulian lake in Pahalgam.
One must visit Baisaran and Tulian lake in Pahalgam.
These two spots are less explored and hence less crowded but in no way less beautiful than any other
popular tourist destinations (Like Aru Valley or Betab Valley) in Kashmir. In my opinion, both are moderately difficult treks and a local guide could be of great help for such hikes. It just saves time and energy to a large extent.
Also, it is important to start early in the morning, especially for the Tulian Lake trek.
In general, I prefer hiking to sitting on a pony while climbing mountains.
Sitting on horseback is not the most pleasant experience for beginner riders but also one gets a chance to observe nature much better while walking on foot.

If you are having sort of time during your Kashmir visit...
If you are having sort of time during your Kashmir visit then directly go for a night stay in Srinagar and gulmarg ( if there is snow fall ) And then move to pahalgam for 2N 2D for greater experience as the sight and scene of pahalgam is far better than gulmarg and sonmarg
The rooms at Littel Silver hotel in Pahalgam offer a truly beautiful view. I was fortunate enough to stay in a room with a breathtaking vista of the surrounding nature. Waking up to the sight of lush greenery, snow-capped mountains, and a serene river flowing nearby was an incredible experience. The hotel's strategic location and thoughtful room design truly enhanced my stay. I spent hours simply gazing at the picturesque landscape from the comfort of my room. It was a visual treat that I will cherish forever.
We, a group of 6 in 3 rooms, had a fantastic and pampered stay at the ITC Welcomhotel in Pahalgam. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and clean. Horseback riding departed directly from the hotel. All the staff were top notch including the friendly doormen, the accommodating and attentive front desk staff, the soothing spa staff, and the outstanding restaurant wait staff. The breakfast and dinner menu was incredible and delicious, and reflected the local Kashmiri specialties.
Hotel was so amazing
Food was also really nice
Hotel staff was very supportive and generous,
specially Mr. Rayees and Mr. Zulfi from housekeeping team because I forgot my wallet in my room and checked out but and Rayees called me and courier my wallet to Delhi with all the things.
Amazing staff, Amazing hospitality
One must stay at this beautiful property in Pahalgam
It’s a scam. I paid twice and asking the hotel to help me . They told me they will send me an email with my payment receipt but still haven’t . I made one payment online when I booked via booking.com and they hotel said they did not receive and I paid again at hotel . I lost my money . It’s a scam. No one is helping me in this situation.
i stayed here for a day in April 23 and it's perfect in all aspects.
Hotel is situated at an excellent location with river Lidder at the backside, that was such a scenic view of the Pahalgam valley
A great place to stay with family, food is amazing.
Care takers Aijaz, Bilal and Irshad they all very helpful.
Believe everything you read about this charming Hotel. We so enjoyed our stay there and I hope to return. The location is perfect, our suite (they upgraded us) was lovely. The staff is wonderfuly patient and helpful (don't think any of them ever sleep). Wish I could of stayed longer - next time............
The hospitality and warmth we received can never be forgotten. Very presence of the host, Junaid was pleasing, caring and assuring. The brooking Leeder, the snow-adorned peaks of the Pir- panjal range and the little cosy home, i.e Mir Guest House are all that made our trip to Pahalgam memorable.
I would rate it more than a 5star. The ambiance, hospitality of the staff made us feel as it was home to us. Whenever we visit pahalgam this is the only place I would prefer to stay. The staff were very friendly and met our needs. Very accommodating. The best hotel in pahalgam.
Good hotel located near to main road and food options available at walking distance, approx a kilometre from main market Pahalgam but better to stay at this location.
Rooms are ok with minimal facilities.
Value for money in this price range.
our room allotted to someone else and showed us a horrible place to stay and therefore we cancelled our booking and booked a new hotel to stay that night
