Embark on an authentic Indian joyride into mad Mumbai’s chaotic streets with its revving rickshaws, bustling bazaars, timeless temples and colonial history. This melting pot of Indian culture features a mix of rich Bollywood wannabes and the city’s slum dwellers, all residing together in India’s most populous city.
South Mumbai is a useful starting point with the symbolic Gateway of India in Colaba welcoming local Marathis and tourists alike. Opposite is the impressive Taj Mahal Palace & Tower Hotel. The Art Deco Regal Cinema underlines Mumbai’s colonial heritage.
A top Indian curry comprises key ingredients and your Mumbai experience should also include a menu of fashion, film and nightlife. Leopold Café is a place to be seen and there are many other chic bars and clubs. You can do a Bollywood tour where you can even feature as an extra in a film!
During the day, take a trip by ferry to the Elephanta Island with its caves and then spend the evening people watching on Chowpatty Beach in the south or Juhu Beach in the west.
Booking.com has hotels in Adheri in the west, around the fort and train station in the south or nearby central Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, amongst many others.
Mumbai is too noisy but very interesting place to visit.
Mumbai is too noisy but very interesting place to visit. There are many old buildings that have been maintained well. Getting around is very easy accept during peak hours when there is a heavy traffic.
Thanks to food inn, I had lots of good food to eat.

It is fast developing but retains the charm of the people.
It is fast developing but retains the charm of the people. We used Mumbai Magic for our tour guides and I cannot recommend them enough for tours of Dharavi, and also a historical tour of Mumbai. We also went to visit where Ghandi grew up. So much to see and do - we spent 3 days which was enough to get a good flavour of the culture, the people and of course, the wonderful food. You will not be disappointed and a most definitely recommend you spend some time is this wonderful city.

My second time there..
My second time there.. We usually stay at the TAJ Palace, and did this trip for a week, my wife had to return early to the states, so I checked out of the TAJ Palace and moved to the Four Seasons Mumbai for a change of pace
The hotel was being renovated--and was not up to the Four Seasons standard. I checked out the next morning very disappointed.

Incredibly busy bustling city.
Incredibly busy bustling city. The roads are very noisy and difficult to cross. So it is a full-on experience. Walking around is interesting but exahuating. That said, places like Crawford Market were an incredible experience. Just the people, the things you can buy and the activities are a feast for the eyes and all the senses.
There isn't a lot of tourist stuff there or specific things to do like sights or museums, but you do get a fascinating glimpse of life in India's most dynamic city.
You need a lie-down afterwards, though!
MOST IMPORTANTLY: this property HACKED my account and wrote (on my behalf) a positive 9 star review for themselves, and a 3 star review to a competitor hotel that I loved. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS HERE. To be clear, I didn't like anything about this property. The floor was full of dust bunnies, the sheets were stained and ripped, everything smelled terrible, and the entrance is a literal tent with carpets ripped every other inch. I've never experienced anything like this and am extremely disappointed.
Again, this hotel belongs to the Tata group and the Taj Hotels group. A very professional group and well experienced in the hospitality industry.
We were up-graded to the old tower ( a tower which was built in 1903 ), thanks to the Booking.com's genius loyalty program.
I would say this hotel is one of the best hotels in Mumbai, a luxury hotel well managed. All the staff were well trained, the breakfast was lovely and the stay was very comfortable.
Thanks to Tata Group
The best part was it was very clean. The astropods are clean and cosy. Good privacy. If you are in Mumbai and are here for any exam or interview, this is the best place as you'll have complete concentration without any noise from outside.
The toilets and bathrooms are clean and well maintained like a 5 star hotel or like any top airports.
Also they provide discount for food at a restaurant adjacent to it.
Highly recommend
The staff here are amazing and will do anything to make your experience the best it can be. The location is perfect, walking distance to Taj hotel and Gateway to India. Airport transfers are available for a fee through the hotel or book on your own using any app or taxi service. Breakfast is outstanding and rotates daily; honestly some of the best breakfasts I had during my 10 days across India. Highly recommend.
The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Excellent bathrooms. There is a safe and a small fridge.
The rooftops restaurant is a definite plus.
The sea facing rooms have a wonderful view, but this does come at an extra cost. Be aware that being at the front means street noise.
We used the hotel's airport pick up service. The driver was waiting with a large comfortable vehicle.
The hotel is right inside the airport building, so you don't even leave the airport premises. The best thing about this hotel is the staff and their eagerness to help and make you comfortable. We met one such dedicated staff member named "Saju" who went out of his call of duty to help my parents and my sister during their stay. This is very much appreciated.
Taj Hotels chain, well experienced in the hospitality industry. Luxury Hotel, very professional management, excellent staff and the hotel was well designed.
Breakfast and the food in the restaurants was very delicious and clean.
A real 5 stars Hotel. I have enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
Thanks to Tata Group and Taj Hotels group
Mumbai's finest and most famous venue deserves a 5 star and more for their service & commitment, Had a great time staying there and was bowled over by the courteous & prompt service, hey follow all the covid norms, they make your special day most memorable with their efforts,I have no words to explain anymore about this hotel..
The room, toilet and corridor are clean. The staffs were very helpful. Despite the noise outside, the moment you enter the hotel, there is quietness .
Samim is always ready to listen and answer questions asked as best as possible.
He gave valuable and safe suggestions on how to navigate the area..
It was a nice experience
Dormitory is located near Airport and Metro Station. Centrally located between Andheri and Ghatkopar stations, good conectivity on both sides. Service given by staff is very good, dormitory is quiet and peaceful. Washrooms are also maintained clean and neat. Medical shops, restsurants and market are also nearby.
Luxury brand hotel close to the airport. Extremely polite and helpful staff. Room we for had a great view and great location, in one of Mumbai's best suburbs.
The morning breakfast spread is pretty good too.
We were also provided early check-in so the stay started on a really great note.
The room was so luxurious, I was so impressed. I was amazed by the spread of food at breakfast. I've worked in 5 star hotels in the US and they did not do anything that grand. And the airport was in a great location being so close was so helpful for traveling.
The hotel is an incredible property itself, but what makes it even the best spot in Mumbai is its location - Ballard Estate is a beautiful and peaceful neighbourhood with amazing cafes in a rather chaotic city, while being extremely centrally located
The hotel is fine. OK for a one night stop on the way to the airport. reasonable. Staff behavior satisfactory. No restaraunt. But tea biscuits are available
