We would very much recommend Villa Akasa for any travelers looking for a tasteful and rejuvenating stay, conveniently located in Varkala just off the beach, and a quick walk (15-25 min) from North Cliff shops and restaurants (def check out Mother India craft goods while down that way!). We found the room to be beautiful and perfectly simple for our needs (with amazing AC for those traveling in the hotter months!). Pramood, the property manager was a joy to meet and went above and beyond to help us out with our logistics and activity planning. He organized an airport transfer to Trivandrum with a very pleasant driver. For those looking to drop into a yoga session while in town, Pankaj yoga studio in North Cliff was amazing, particularly due to the instructor who is a true yoga master and led the hardest/most rewarding session we’ve taken part in

Very comfortable, relaxed Bohemian athmosphere. Stylish room, outdoor dining and terrace Where breakfast is served in the morning. Excellent homecooked food wether you like Indian or western style. The proximity to the beach is a plus on hot days.

Everything was exceptional. The rooms were stunning. Beautiful styled, spacious, with a private veranda and open air shower. Fan and A/C plus a super comfy bed. Lots of little details and personal touches. The property is located on the south cliff, which if you are looking to escape the noise and find a peaceful place to return to, this is the place. You can either walk into town or north cliff in 20 minutes or it is a short rickshaw away. The staff were awesome, so attentive, friendly, and went out of there way to make sure everything was perfect. The food was next level! We ended up eating there every night, you do not really get better than this! We loved this place so much, we wish it was our home. 6th time to India and this was my favourite place by a long shot.

Really gorgeous room and garden area. Enjoyed the breakfast provided. Loved doggy cuddles. Lovely staff. The location is really nice in a peaceful area south side of Varkala, only 15mins walk along the beach or 100/150 rupees in a tuk tuk to north cliff. Also recommend the Ayurvedic massage and treatments in the place opposite. Perfect place to stay in Varkala.

What a lovely homestay! We had a great time at Villa Akassa! The rooms were exactly like they looked on the pictures, super comfortable. The place is so well located with a great cafe right across which has steps leading you down to the beach! The breakfast was great, despite what some reviews said it was more than enough food! They gave a freshly cut bowl of fruits with our choice of breakfast!

Very pretty property with great aesthetic vibe. The highlight was the cafe ‘Trip is Life’ right opposite the villa. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The greenery inside the compound added to the look and feel of the place.

Great little guesthouse with stylish decor - our rooms had a private terrace and looked out on a well kept shady garden. The staff were very helpful and enjoyed the choice of breakfast delivered to our terrace. Excellent location on South Cliff as just across the lane was a great cafe, with steps down to the beach.
