The location is fantastic. We arrived and saw the Northern Lights within hours. The following day, we went on a beautiful drive from the hotel - absolutely stunning! We also really enjoyed the food. Iceland is very expensive and this was no different but it all tasted very fresh and was tasty.

This place is absolutely fabulous. We unfortunately had terrible weather when we arrived here, and were even stuck there for an extra day. We had to rebook an extra day and the staff was absolutely welcoming. Our addition day was arranged and they also helped us plan the next stretch of our drive because of the weather conditions. We were a big fan of the breakfast here: just amazing! On the second day, we also tried their elaborate dinner, which was no short of a WOW. My wife and the rest of the family who joined us are vegetarians and they too had plenty of admirable options. So all in all: we enjoyed the stay a lot! Had the weather been a bit supportive, we would have had enjoyed even more…

The northern lights rippled across the sky the first and only night of our stay. That moment will live with me forever. As for the rest of the stay, the dinner and breakfast were delicious and filling, we loved the brown bread and jam the most.

The location, staff and particularly the food was all great! We were surprised by a bonfire and firework show which was taking place nearby and all the hotel guests were invited.

Absolutely amazing food. Home made, variety of fresh fish, freshly baked bread, tea and coffee available all the time. I loved ceviche, sashimi and other fish dishes made at home plus lamb and breakfasts with good choice of fruit and chocolate peanut butter. We were glad that we had dinner on the spot every day.

We wanted somewhere remote and Hotel Langaholt certainly is that although only a few minutes from Ytri Tunga beach where you can watch the seals. We even managed to see the northern lights, albeit a little dimly. The hotel itself was very comfy but what was exceptional was the buffet dinner. It was delicious, with a large selection of dishes. An amazing amount of effort went into dinner by the chef and the kitchen but it was fully appreciated. I was worried that my two teens may struggle to find something they like but they said it was the best food they have even had on any holiday! There is teas, coffee and hot chocolate for guests to help themselves to at all times and a bar. It was cozy and friendly. Thanks to Simon for your advice and friendly chat.
