close to the beach and parking, even privat pareking if needed. Beautiful hotel but rooms a bit outdated. Showers were old and cracky and bathroom rather smaal. One of the seats on the terras broke down when i sat on it. Great terras with good vieuw but according rooms a bit small. No real resto's nearby so takes a car to get somewhere

Ideal location, with balcony onto pedestrianised historic main street, full of cafes and restaurants. Very clean. Big comfortable bed. Easy free on-street parking nearby. We could get in straightaway, despite arriving early. Good value for money.

I recently stayed at Empedocle B&B in Sicily and had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and always available to assist us. They provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy the area, including the best beaches and restaurants.
The room was spotless and well-organized, and the hotel's location in the historical center was perfect for exploring nearby restaurants and bars. We also had a fantastic time using an Ape Moto, thanks to Diego (+393288810284), who took us to beautiful places like beaches and Valle de Templi.
Overall, our stay at Empedocle B&B was exceptional. The staff's hospitality, the clean room, and the central location made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend it and can't wait to visit again.

The owner is so friendly and cute. The apartment is spacious and absolutely clean. We loved it. You should try the pizzeria „mondo pizza“ next to it, it is delicious :)
It is a good spot for Business travellers. If you travel for lesure time there is Not really anything to Do there. I went to Agrigento there is a lot to See. If you just need a place to stay for the nicht it is perfect

Montalbano fans will like to visit Porto Empedocle as there is a mural of Andrea Camileri and a bronze statue of 'Montalbano sono' in front of the pizzeria on the Main Street.
When in Porto Empedocle, a visit to the nearby 'Scala dei Turchi' is a must.

Nice restaurants, good food, nice prices and nearby beach, I would avoid staying at the apartment we booked called Gocce Siciliane Apartments. Embellished photos, dirty balcony, no parking for the apartment and fridge slightly bigger than a matchbox. Glad to see, in their reply, they agree the price is ridiculous.

Its really nice and quiet while only a stone's throw away from the major attractions.
It has some very good places to eat out and it is very easy to get around by foot.
It does have rather un-reliable public transport connections though as well as having some areas with an aweful lot of garbage and untaken care of public areas. However this is a general problem in many parts of Sicily.

The old part of the town has the most character.
The old part of the town has the most character. Via Roma is possibly the nicest street but there is also a charming piazza just a few steps further towards the harbour. It’s easy to find the town as it is the starting point for ferries to the islands. Parking is easy in the winter but maybe not so easy during holidays. It’s very much a working town with lots of industries around as well as some really picturesque spots. There are lots of restaurants with sea food as their speciality but you can get a range of menus and at least one catering for gluten free. Porto Empedocles makes a good base for touring all the main sites on the south coast. You do need a car as the buses are infrequent and there is no longer a passenger train service. The streets are very narrow so a small car with good ground clearance is recommended as the roads in and around the town are not well maintained.

The location is very good, there was no problem entering the property, restaurants are enough in the neighbourhood. We liked KENYA very much - delicious food, friendly staff... It's a pity that the elevator didn't work in the house, as well as the drenage in the shower. The sofa in the living-room was kinda strange...

In the middle of lively beachside town, next to town square. Very large and clean. We booked at 7pm because when we got to Agrigento we didn’t like it. Port Empedocle, a few k’s away on beach is much
Better place to stay. Host Livio waited for our late 9pm check-in ....even bought me a beer at the next door bar!
If planning to visit Agrigento, skip it and stay at Porto Empedocle, and if possible at Livio’s La Rosa
This sounds like a paid endorsement...believe me it’s not. We just had a bloody good time
This is probably the best hotel by the beach we booked to relax. It exceeded expectations. The room was big and bright and clean so were the surroundings of the hotel. Seemed that they were freshly renovated. The breakfast was great with a variety of choices, freshly baked croissants and a great view. You could have breakfast and enjoy the sea.
The location is fantastic, by the beach.
Big private parking even though plenty of parking around.
Rossana, the host, is very nice and very helpful. She recommended an amazing restaurant in Porto Empedocle and gave us tips about the surroundings. The room is spacious and comfortable. There is a big common terrace with a nice view on the sea. For us, after a long day of traveling, this was the perfect pit stop and it allowed us to be at the opening of the Agrigento archeological park the next morning (about 10 mins drive). Highly recommended
Great place to stay right across from the beach. The bed is firm and the pillows are flat but that’s really everywhere in Sicily. The restaurant is fantastic though. We came in the low season when there’s not much going on and loved it. There’s walkable spots for breakfast/lunch. The beach is really nice and great for walking. The Turkish stairs are about a 25 minute walk by the beach, do this rather than driving.
I loved Porto Empedocle, which is the town where the Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri was born... so it's filled with this atmosphere... real town and nice people, to me. Maria is a charming lady who lives in the building, and responds to questions and needs if possible. The bed was a little sofa/bed in the living-room, for one person. The apartment is centrally located and has an old school vibe.
This place is spotless. It was so clean I even was sorry to take a shower!
You can tell that the owner really cares about the quality of her offer. She is super nice, knows a lot about her land, she is great at giving advice!
The breakfast was spectacular, with beautiful plates and great offer.
Perfect location to visit scala dei turchi, valle dei templi & porto Empedocle.
Grazie!
The appartment was very comfortable and has a very good position for discovering the beauties of Sicily around! We enjoyed evening on the beach that is just across the street. The beach offers few bars and view on the sunset. The biggest suprise was a breakfast that we got from the owner (the best croissants we have ever eaten!) Thank you very much for such a pleasant stay!
The accomodation is right across the beach. The access to the room is modern, with no key, but with a code.
The room was simple, with a fridge and a kitchen.
The air conditioning was great.
The surrounding area of Porto Empedocle is nice, you have Scala dei Turchi to the west and Valley of Temples (Valle dei Templi) to the east.
Breakfast buffet was beautifully presented and delicious. We enjoyed the gourmet dinner at the inn both nights of our stay, some of the best food we tasted in Sicily. Relaxed at the pool after a day touring the ancient historical sites at Agrigento. Highly recommend this inn for a quiet interlude while touring Sicily.
The hotel is PERFECT! it is very clean, better than the photos, great location, big rooms, great bed and very kind owner. Nino, the owner, was very friendly, helpful and kind. He is always smiling and very helpful. The location is perfect - across from the beautiful beach, and has reserved parking. It was a wonderful stay!
A wonderful large clean pool and for two of our three days there was noone else enjoying it.
Great location if you have a car as close to Porto Empedocle, Turkish steps, Valley of the Temples, amazing beaches.
Helpful staff who took a delivery of emergency travel docs for us, which we appreciated.
A place where you stay happily for more than a weekend. The sea is across the street and the beach is perfect for parents and children, with shallow water. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, we soon felt at home. All the beauties of southern Sicily can be visited starting from here. Enjoy!
This is a a lovely, small hotel in the hills above Porto Empodocle surrounded by beautil scenery. The hosts were warm and welcoming, as were all the staff, creating a personal touch which pervades the whole hotel. Fantastic food. Great pool.
Gerlando was very hospitable and gave us very valuable information to visit the surrounding area and the landmarks such as "La valle degli templi" and "Scala dei turchi".We also appreciated the happy holiday text after we left the hotel.
The owners were welcoming and very kind. Everything in the apartment worked fine. It was spacious and comfortable. Location is ok for Porto Empedocle. The neighborhood is quiet and not so busy as the rest of town.
In addition to being the best value in all of southeast Sicily (if not the entire island) with its spaciousness and comfort, the hosts are the kindest people in the world.
Location! On the main street with no cars and cheapest and best restaurants we came across in whole Sicily! Also, the apartment was very big and comfortable for the price
