The location is perfect, my toddler loved the playground on the premises and the beachfront and that saved are whole experience! Restaurants are also on walking distance and the other towns of (Santa Maria) Castellabate are a few minutes drive away. The place is neat and clean but rooms a little bit cramped and bathrooms a bit shabby for a 4 star hotel. Overall the personnel were friendly

We had a very relaxing and lovely stay in this nice estate located in a pleasant green area.
The pools are very clean and nicely maintained, our kids loved them so much that almost didn't want to go to the nearby beaches.
The staff always been helpful and attentive to our needs. A special thanks to Vincenzo for driving us to the beaches most days as part of the hotel shuttle service.

Perfect spot in quiet San Marco. Staff were wonderful. Beach was great and breakfast really delicious. Our room was spacious. The air con couldn’t keep up with the heat which meant sleeping was a bit difficult. But the hotel was really lovely.

A lovely little town and area. Great beaches, restaurants and Cafes. Very peaceful in September with beautiful weather. Caffetteria Torretta on the roundabout south of San Marco is a great place to stop for takeaway snacks and cakes on the way to our favourite beach at Casa del Conte

Being there in late September it was a quiet, nice and warm village, with a few nice beaches, perfect water and overall a wuite relaxing atmosphere, in contrast to Salerno and everything north of it (Pompeji, Napels, Rome, etc.)

Small community but vibrant night and beach activity.
Small community but vibrant night and beach activity. Good restaurants and beautiful SPA. Nice little harbor with a ferryboat for Capri. Neighbor towns are also beautiful. A lot of tradition, events, good food, beautiful views and relaxing coast lines. Everybody is friendly with tourists, also people that do not speak English do their best to be nice.
I liked the fact that the flat was well furnished, very spacious, clean and organised. Thank you, Giuseppe and Angela, you were very kind and ready to give us good advices about Castellabate. Also, the flat has a great location, especially because it is on a hill overlooking the coast, a few kilometres from Santa Maria and Castellabate, the beach and other attractions by car. In addition, the house is surrounded by beautiful nature and we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset from the terrace.
My stay at the De Gulia Charme and Relax was faultless. From the breathing scenery, to the modern facilities my stay was everything you would want from a trip to Italy. Overlooking the beautiful seeside town of Santa Maria Di Castellabate, the De Gulia Charme and Relax is filled with old world charm from its cobbled steps enchanting paths and friendly locals. The facilities are first class and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
I'm already planning my next trip. 5 Stars (Excellent)
Great experience. Tough to get to at the top of hilltop, but worth the drive and free parking. The staff were exceptional, especially in the restaurant. We had 2 wonderful dinners and the server, Nello and the chef were incredible. The food and presentation were exceptional. But it was the hospitality, service and friendliness of the 2 of them that made it a special experience. The breakfast was the best we've had in Italy and again the presentation and explaination of every dish was great.
La Pennichella is a very tasteful, pretty, comfortable, well laid out apartment with the most glorious terrace and views!
Our stay was for four nights- we wish it had been for at least a week. The place is very well and thoughtfully furnished.
There are also several very good eating options nearby, and a nice small grocery shop for provisions within walking distance. The hosts and everyone we met in Castellabate were very warm and welcoming.
Everything. I can’t say enough about this hotel and the staff. The owners went above and beyond. They felt like family, well they were even kind enough to look into our family history in the area. The food was the best I had on the trip and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were the cleanest I’ve stayed in and had beautiful terraces overlooking the water with wonderful lounge chairs. I only hope I will be lucky enough to return some day.
This was an extremely comfortable hotel to stay right in the old city of Castellabate. The host met us right away and showed us to the modern and well-appointed room. There was even a kitchen contained in a cabinet! It was easy to park right in front, although we visited during the off-season. The views from the room of the sea and the town below were magnificent, and there is a wonderful rooftop balcony. Highly recommended!
Gorgeous property with beautifully designed apartments that are very well appointed.
Excellent AC and fast WiFi.
Franco, the owner, is kind, helpful and knows the history of the area. He booked all of our dinners and helped us plan our days. There was fresh fruit, coffee, tea, pasta, fantastic olive oil and soft drinks in the room for us at arrival.
Location is great-close to Castellabate, Paestum and other sight in the area.
A truly fantastic location and ditto apartments! Very clean, excellently equipped and beautifully decorated. Very warm welcome. Franco and Rossana are super hosts. Franco introduced us with his stories to the culture and life in southern Italy. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings
Great location, very helpful and kind staff. The breakfast was exceptional - a mix of American, Israeli, and Italian :-) = you can choose from a la carte menu, and - it is included in the room price.
The restaurant is very good and flexible.
We enjoyed every minute and it was a great finale to a great vacation in south Italy.
Extremely charming place off the beaten path. The hotel is simply beautiful, so are the surroundings, it has amazing views and my room was very comfortable. The staff was really kind and they were also very helpful, providing advice for my trip. They serve a delicious local breakfast. Highly recommended!
The hotel room was perfect. The building is really beautiful as well. It seems the hotel even appeared in a well know Italian movie. The view from the balcony and the garden are just fantastic. Lello, the person at the reception, was really helpful and friendly. I totally recommend this hotel.
We loved the Gentilcore. The hotel is lovely with beautiful furnishings. It has convenient parking nearby and is just steps away from charming restaurants in the pretty small village of Castellabate. We’ve stayed here twice and each time was an absolute pleasure.
La Pennichella had everything we needed for our week in Italy - the amazing balcony with stunning views over the sea and Santa Maria Di Castellabate was incredible and we couldnt have picked a better spot for our stay!
Castellabate is a beautiful hilltop town with quiet streets, stunning views and some lovely restaurants and cafes. Palazzo Gentilcore is a short walk (though a few stairs or inclines involved) from everything in town.
Stunning Restoration - rooms & public areas decorated beautifully. The views from our terrace simply gorgeous. The staff is lovely. Great location- just a minute from the central square of Old Town Castellabate.
The service of the host was exceptional. Very professional and assisting with all our questions. The breakfast was very fresh and had a variety of choices, something you wouldn't expect that easily in Italy.
Marvelous little boutique hotel in a perfect location. The restaurant is very interesting and the breakfast is excellent. The staff is extremely helpful. Recommended.
Hotel with a very atmosphere nicely refurbished. All the staff were really nice, especially Piera on reception and the lady that served breakfast. Highly recommended.
