Set in a building from the 18th century, Hotel Palazzo Krataiis is only 10 metres from the beach in Scilla and 100 metres from the ancient hamlet of Chianalea. The property features free Wi-Fi.

The location is exceptional, steps from the beach and the lift up to the old town. Easy walking distance to the station, little Venice and restaurants. The Hotel is perfectly placed right by the sea. We had a kingsize room with sea view which was very clean. The owners were very helpful also with suggestions for restaurants and visiting Scilla, especially that there is an escalator and an elevator nearby the hotel which makes it easy to reach the upper very interesting part of Scilla .

The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay views are all very beautiful. Scilla is on a hillside so expect lots of paths and steps as you explore Scilla. The lift near Bar Roxy on the beach takes you right up to the piazza and a cappuccino, or a pizza from Pizza Scilla. There are places to eat along the beach and in Scilla. Do try the local swordfish panini! Delicious.

Lovely personal BnB right on the water edge. Large balcony over the sea with a wonderful view of the sea and Scilla. The main beach is wonderful for swimming in the clear turquoise water. It is a small relaxed town.

we liked everything about our stay in Scilla

we liked everything about our stay in Scilla Close proximity to Train Station, walking distance to the Beach, Local Cafes and Restaurants along the waterfront and across from the main beach. Walking distance to the Old town Centre either take a lift up or walk up the stairs for some paronamic views you won't be disappointed. It is only a small coastal town with a few restaurants and Cafes to choose from

    The view was spectacular.

The view was spectacular. There was direct access to the rocks at the waterfront but no way to get in or out of the water safely. The property is advertised as The entire holiday home’ but this is false. The property has at least three apartments. We had to walk past our neighbour’s glass patio doors to access our apartment and the narrow balcony was shared.

I loved Scilla as the pace was so relaxed and a chilled vibe… I really liked where I stayed to watch the sunsets and the locals chatting in the square Chianalea which is in walking distance is a must visit for beautiful streets and alleyways and gorgeous restaurants… In my personal opinion no need for a car as youcan walk everywhere and there’s a train station with very regular services

The town is one of the biggest discoveries I had in years - it is probably top3 the most incredible places in Italy (at least those I have seen). It's a perfect place for a romantic trip, it offers great restaurants and great accommodation for decent prices. The views are just fantastic - it exceeded my expectations!

Our stay at Casato exceeded all our expectations. The business is run by a beautiful family which is very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The building sits in the middle of Chianalea di Scilla with tons of options for a drink, an ice cream or a dinner. The restaurant in Casato is also absolutely perfect and serve the most fresh and delicious fish. Rooms are stunning and the balcony is sitting right above the sea. The view is something I cannot describe, you need to experience it. Breakfast was also exceptional and quite unique.

In mid-Oct, we had the whole hotel to ourselves, so it was great (although the pool had been closed). We had a Junior suite/balcony, perched up the hill outside of Scilla with brilliant sunset views of Messina, and of Scilla town in the other direction. Just excellent to sit on the balcony and have a drink at the end of the day! Breakfast was very good. Free parking. The room was very nicely sized, with modern amenities. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

This part of Scilla is characterful and totally tranquil. While the sound of the lapping water and movement of the local fishermen below the apartment and our little balcony made it totally perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Despite a language barrier, Pia looked after us very well and was always around for help or questions. So glad she organised the boat trip for us.

It was very clean, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Our room had great views and Breakfast on the terrace was a nice touch. The hotel is located a short walk from some very good restaurants; but beware there can be some steep hills and many steps to negotiate, but it is worth it.

We loved the history of the old stone house, the location right on the sea is something very special but the truth is the owner Fortunata was the shining star of our stay. She is a beautiful soul who care’s deeply about her home and guests. Our time here will always be a cherished memory.

Beautiful little BnB just by the water, in the best part of Scilla. We could just stay at the balcony all day. Best breakfasts we had in Italy ever, hand-made by the owner. Antonio and his beautiful mother are so welcoming and make this place so special.
