Ortigas Gate has to be one of the best stays we have had in our travels in Sicily and further. From the time Stefania met us on our arrival until the time we left we have nothing but praise about her hospitality and her accommodation. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, spacious, exceptionally clean and in an excellent location for visiting Syracuse and Ortega. We walked for hours each day and to return to this accommodation was like coming home. The breakfast was HUGE and Stefania enjoyed treating us! We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough, it exceeds ten stars.We could have stayed longer.Thank you Stefania for being the most amazing host!

This B&B is located just outside the perimeter of the Old City of Ortigia - which was within 10 mins gentle walk. There are many restaurants of a good standard in the surrounding area and our host was able to recommend a number to suit our taste. The accomodation is recently renovated, clean, well decorated and comfortable. The owner made us very welcome and is a font of knowledge of the local culture and history of the area. Parking is free on the street immediately in front of the building.

Beautifully renovated, modern, comfy room, very close to the bus terminal and train station. 10 minute walk to Ortigia and 20 to the Neopolis Archaeological Park. Stefania was very welcoming and breakfast was ample.

Well designed B&B, very modern but with a twist. Super comfortable & clean. Stefania was a super host, helping with luggage, very friendly, gave suggestions about where to go for food, drinks and icecream and she made a fabulous breakfast. There are three rooms, all a bit different. Big sitting area outside at the back of the breakfast room. Free parking on the street just outside the building.

From the moment we arrived Stephania was very welcoming, she gave great advice on where to go for meals etc. After only 3 nights it felt like we were leaving a friends house. The room was spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. The Sicilian breakfast and pastries were delicious. The location was good. About 10 minutes from Ortigia and close to the railway and bus stations. We highly recommend Ortigia's Gate.

Great location (everything is at walking distance), new and fully renovated rooms (modern done by an architect), very clean, nice terrace and breakfast facility, good heating facility for winter,… Breakfast was really good (accommodating for allergies,…). Stephania is always available to support and very friendly.

Stefania's B&B is wonderful. At the top of our list of best places in Sicily! The place has style & comfort. There was parking right out front (no need to deal with the ZTL issue in Ortigia). Then everything on the island is only a quick and lively 5 minute walk. Stefania took special care with breakfast (Siracusian specialties, changing everyday); and there was always fresh juice, fruit, yougurt. Throughout the day there were cookies :) and café/tea available. The outdoor terrace was perfect. And omg, by the end of 3 days Stefania felt like a friend. She is so lovely. Overall, an amazing stay.

Stefania was much more than the perfect host, she became a dear friend to us. She answered all my questions and made me feel at home even before the trip. Ortigia's gate was one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we have ever stayed. The rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable and spacious. The location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the center and with spaces to park your car at the door, free of charge - which was a plus. But by far what was most special were the delightful conversations with Stefy and the other guests over a delicious breakfast that made us feel like we were among long-time friends. We followed all her the tips on what to see and where to eat and ended up in magical places and eating the best pasta of my life. I hope to keep in touch with her and get back to enjoying the wonderful city of Syracuse as soon as possible.

We stayed in Ortigia's gate for 6 nights in October. Stefania was waiting for us when we arrived late at night and immediately made us feel at home. Every morning she surprised us with a different delicious breakfast and provided us with useful tips for activities, restaurants and beautiful beaches. The b&b is very pretty, clean and the location is great. But especially Stefania makes Ortigia's gate the best place to stay when you want to explore Sicily.
