Central Gallery Rooms- Palazzo D'Ali' Staiti XIX, hotel in Trapani

A 5-minute walk from Trapani Harbour, Central Gallery Rooms offers modern-style and colourful rooms with air conditioning.

The location is excellent and front door is located on a beautiful pedestrian only street. Loved the architecture of the building. The room was modern, colourful and spotlessly clean. View from our room overlooking the ocean and beach was spectacular. Our arrival was welcoming and cheerful. Receptionist helped us install the Easy Park app on our phone which proved invaluable on our road trip around Sicily. Breakfast was plentiful and included a wide selection of yummy Sicilian sweets and pastries.

FAQs about hotels in Trapani

Seasoned with Life

Kite-shaped Trapani makes an impressive sight from lofty Mount Erice, connected to the peninsula below by cable car. On a clear day, the mountain also offers views of Tunisia - one destination of ferries from Trapani Port, alongside Cagliari, Pantelleria and the offshore Egadi Islands.

Overlooking the port is the old town, where arched doorways on narrow streets open onto many cheap apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com. Shabby chic façades sit alongside historic churches, such as understated Trapani Cathedral, somewhat lost amid elegant Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pavement cafes sit in front of pastel-coloured buildings and metal balconies.

At the tip of the peninsula is the fortress-like Tower of Ligny lighthouse, now housing the Prehistory and Sea Museum. The Colombaia Castle protects the port from an island to the south, while in the other direction the sweeping coastline passes some beachfront hotels with swimming pools.

Villa Margherita Park offers shade from the Mediterranean sun, and Triton’s Fountain graces a neighbouring square. The simple façade of the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata hides the treasures within, including a statue of the Madonna of Trapani which is at the heart of the Easter ‘Misteri’ celebrations.

Between the city and Trapani-Birgi Airport, historic windmills sit beside salt pans. The Salt Museum provides details of this major industry.

Trapani is a great "normal" town- not too touristy. There are great restaurants, good shopping, and you can reach a lot of wonderful places such as Erice, San Vito lo Capo, the Egadi Islands, Marsala and loads more. Perfect town for a short break or for a beach holiday, the town is in between a harbor and the beach. The city centre is vibrant, lots of restaurants and bars. Trapani is lovely town nicely laid out with good public transport - although beware as the busses stop running by about 21:30 in the evening and none on a Sunday. A good selection of shops for those wanting to indulge. The old town is stunning and a must to visit both during the day and particularly in the evening when it totally comes alive with an abundance of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

Surprisingly quaint with lots to do.

Surprisingly quaint with lots to do. Great sandy beaches, lots of shops and amazing restaurants and bars in the old town. Also provides easy access to lots of other places to explore like Erice via cable car, Egadi Islands by ferry and Marsala, Castellemare del Golfo by train and Palermo by bus. It wasn't overly touristy either and got a really nice, more authentic experience here compared to some of the other cities in Sicily. Highly recommend! 3-4 days would be perfect

An amazing place with great design, attention to detail and very conscientious. The bedding and furnishings all exceptional and very comfortable. Our room (superior suite) was very spacious and even had a second bathroom as well as 2 seating areas. Breakfast was excellent and Francesca was super helpful and friend,y. She was a great communicator and provided helpful information for navigating Trapani. We ate in the wine bar/ bistro and had an excellent dinner. Truly a luxury stay.

A real surprise: though located in a sort of warehouse district, the hotel proved ultra modern, spacious and comfortable with an exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. The shuttle service is first rate and I was even provided a simple dinner option, though the hotel does not have a restaurant, per se. The grounds are lovely and, while within clear view of the airport runway, noise inside the building was minimal. Great option for an early morning flight, as I had

My first experience of traveling to Italy was just amazing! The host is very attentive, I'm very grateful for all the assistance and arranging the transfer from/to the airport, and recommending special sight-seeing and providing with a city map! Spacious apartment, was very thoughtful to leave a couple of two bottles of water in the refrigerator and Italian biscuit. Very clean & tidy Closed to the city centre, walking 2-minutes distance to the nice beach.

The property is immaculately maintained, in a beautiful setting away from a big city, hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was the best Italy had to offer anywhere, and the location gives you many places to explore. Try the medieval village of Erice as one possibility. The hosts will assist with others as well as restaurant suggestions. I highly recommend this lovely experience. Grazie Mille!

Perfect location for exploring Trapani. Our room was beautiful, with comfortable large bed, good shower and Ornella as hostess was amazing. Ornella gave recommendations of where to eat - best food we have had since arrival in Sicily. Breakfast is recommended - Bacon, eggs, Sicilian bread and lots of choice of sweet pastries. If we ever return to Trapani, we will not hesitate to return here to stay.

Although it's a little far to go to the center, the location allows you to see the sea and Erice right in front of your eyes. The kind couple Benni and Anna took us to the salt fields. Anna did a lot of research for our trip. The room is warm and relaxing. There was a mini supermarket, and the chocolate flavor at the gelato shop nearby was the best I've had in Sicily!

We had a great stay at Ai Lumi! The hotel was very communicative ahead of time and helped us figure out parking in the city, and check in was very smooth. The room was spacious and had nice touches, and we took advantage of the 15% discount in the attached restaurant where we had an excellent dinner and a great breakfast (included) before heading out the next day.

It is very stylish with a beautifully restored ceiling and amazing flooring. Like staying in a palazzo. Super responsive owner who made us feel so welcomed.
