The farm Terre of Melazzano is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, exactly half way between Florence and Siena in the famous Via Chiantigiana. The farm Terre of Melazzano consists of two complementary activities, wine production and farm accomodation. Both are conducted according to a criterion indispensable for us full and total respect for the environment.

Terre di Melazzano was founded in 1959 when Piero Giulio Falciani, from an old winemaker family. He bought the estate and planted the first vineyards, began the renovation of the farmhouse and built the winery and thus began the history of our company. His son Andrea, increased the area transformed the agricultural buildings in rural tourism reception facilities while proposing a production of a high quality Chianti Classico. In recent times, his daughter Chiara start wotking in the company looking foward the agriturismo toghter with her husband Andrea pirovano, enologist.

From our farm you can reach by a short walk through the vineyards or on the paved road, the town and center of Greve in Chianti, a town rich in history and art, where you can find many local craft shops, food and wine shops, wine bars, restaurants and pizzerias. Within a few km of the farm there are seven World Heritage Sites by UNESCO but also there are a myriad of villages set in a charming landscape and wrapped in a very special atmosphere. We shall therefore indicate only the most famous.
