Wild Oryx is family run and beautifully so. Park at the owners house. He drives you to the bubble camp way past the ones too close to town, out where the stars shine brightly. You’ll be in the North of Wadi Rum. The scenery is serene, the staff lovely and they bring in local music. Arrange when you arrive the camel ride. Then take the 4 hours 4x4 drive around the breathtaking sights. Climb the red rock arch, see where Star Wars was filmed, visit the cave if TE Laurence during the Arab defeat of the Ottomans. Stay 2 nights, it’s too much of a rush to do one.

A more remote campsite with only 4 bubbles, so you have a nice privacy. Great breakfast and dinner, very nice and friendly hosts who take care of you for the whole stay. Offer the most varied activities in the desert (jeep tours, camel rides and more). We had almost a full day jeep trip to all the beautiful places in the Wadi Rum desert, which is absolutely breathtaking. We would love to come back again, ideally in better weather:)

The hospitality of Mr. Eid, his nephew Motaz who was our minder during our stay, and the chef Sayed, made our stay memorable. We loved being able.to immerse ourselves in exploring Wadi Rum including a jeep tour of the protected area and camel riding. The food prepared by Sayed each evening was exceptional, and time by the fire with Bedouin tea and Shisha was a great way to end each day.

We were treated like family the entire stay, camp owner Eid was incredibly gracious and accomodating and we also spent a lot of time with his nephew Motaz who expertly drove us around the desert during our jeep tours. The camp is further out than many others but this is only a benefit in our opinion as with less light pollution the stargazing is incredible. We could also watch the sunrise from bed which was truly magical. Would highly recommend this camp to anyone who is looking for a more authentic experience. We were given much flexibility in terms of timings which we really appreciated and we rounded up the stay with some post-breakfast camel riding in stunning sunny weather.

The camp is very small und private with just 4 bubble tents and everthing is still pretty new, clean and in good condition. It is located in the northern part of Wadi Rum about 10km from the next town in a very secluded area. There are a few camps there, but you don't see them unless you climb on the rocks. It is a really quite and beautiful place. Eid the owner is a very friendly man who takes care that everything works out well. He took care for a smooth arrival, took us to his home, where he explained all the options for tours (jeep/camel) we have and the cost for them. He was never pushy and left everything up to our choice. Dinner and Breakfast were great with many options and more food than we could eat. When we left we were taken to the meeting point with our driver for the onward journey. Besides the tours everything is included, there are no charges for food or beverages or anything. We had a great time at the Wild Oryx Camp and enjoyed true Bedouin hospitality.

Amazing intimate Bubble Camp (just 4 bubbles) to really enjoy the desert at dawn & dust. Far from any other camp, you are really alone in the desert. Excellent food, with plenty of quantity. You feel like friend instead than just guest. The activities (4x4 desert tour & others) managed directly with them, at market prices, with extra quality. Excellent Motas as guide tour & driver. Aid the Owner & manager is great, easy going, plenty of knowledge and really helpful with planning.

The bubble camp was very clean, furnished superbly, and situated in a remote location away from noise and light pollution from other camps. Eid, the owner of the camp, went out of his way to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. We booked a jeep tour of Wadi Rum on arrival at the camp. Our guide spoke good English, and was knowledgeable about the area. We didn’t feel rushed during the desert tour, and the guide took time to explain various features of the desert. The food was delicious and everything was locally sourced.
