The staff were all very friendly, the hostel has a communal feel to it. The capsule felt much more soundproof/solid than other capsule hostels I have stayed in. You get a locker for your shoes, a locker just outside the capsule room and a safe inside the capsule. All guests during my stay seemed respectful of noise and cleanliness, probably one of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed at.

Firstly, the staff were amazing. Super friendly and always down for a chat. The location was right near the Yasaka shrine, so the back streets were all the traditional architectural houses which was absolutely stunning to be around. There were lots of streets to explore near by. You’ll also be about a 15-20min walk from a river that’s always pretty to see, and if you cross the bridge to the other side, there’s strips of shops

Property was in a great location. Everything imaginable was a short walk away. The property was well maintained and clean for the most part. TSUKIMI functioned like a capsule hotel but I got the vibe where it was like a hostel in the common areas. What a great place to mingle with other travellers and the property sold alcohol for a reasonable price as compared to restaurants and bars in Kyoto. The best part was the staff. I got to know each of them and therefore got a slice of Japanese life through these people. They behaved as if they wanted to be there and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. They were also interested in me as a person and asked about my interests and what I did during my stay in kyoto. While they might’ve simply did their job, but to me, i felt like I made some new friends when I left.

The price was great for this area. It is near a bus stop that can take you to the main attractions. It is walkable to the train station and Gion.

The accommodation is in a great location for food and sight seeing. The room was always clean and the facilities were excellent. The common area was a nice place to relax and have morning coffee. Above all, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating to our requests. We enjoyed our stay so much we came back.

Perfect location just 5 minutes walk to Yasaka pagoda (Very beautiful) and Ninesaka path. All staffs are so kind and friendly. they always help me when I have any questions.A sleep pod is comfortable, they provide the shower room, shoe locker at lobby and another locker at the way before you get into the sleep pod room, even the big luggage also have a common spaces provided same area inside the sleep pod room. The common areas at lobby such a relax places to child out too, they also have a rooftop where you can see a great view of Higashiyama areas. Very recommend! I'll back again soon.

The facilities were very clean and comfortable. The communal areas were always kept tidy and available to use. Everyone was respectful of noise levels and personal items in the shared fridge. The staff were absolutely fantastic and really mad the stay memorable!
