Beautiful house with private pool, spacious bedrooms and several terraces to hang out on. Great location in old Lamu, close to shops, museums and the sea with great boat rides to wonderful beaches Manda and Shela.

Full house ready for guests! The typical Lamu courtyard is the center of it all, a serene space from which all other rooms emerge. The three-story building (360m2) with roof access offers an amazing view of the Indian Ocean under the makuti which protects from the rain and sunshine. This results in a beautiful, spacious and very comfortable house with "Umma House" as the name. The Villa has a total of three rooms all equipped with ensuite bathrooms. There is a house keeper that will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible, his name is Santus. If you request it, we will send someone to the airport to pick you all up, and bring you to the house on a boat for 1500ksh. We also have a chef that can be called if you are interested, only breakfast is 500ksh for 1-4 people and 1000ksh for 5-8, and a full day of cooking would be 2000ksh regardless of the number of people. Keep in mind this is just service fee, all the food required for cooking has to be provided. We also offer a tour around Lamu with a local family friend who has lived here his entire life and knows everything there is to know regarding the history and culture of the town, it is 1000ksh per person.
