Ta’ Lorenzo, hotel in San Lawrenz

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool and views of garden, Ta’ Lorenzo is a country house set in a historic building in San Lawrenz, 2.2 km from Dwejra Bay Beach.

Not clean, dirty and plastic bottle hidden under the bed. I got charged for taxes twice due to a room change ( but I had already paid taxes on the previous room, we mistakenly booked ) they asked me for a further 2€ LOL ( at the check in he clearly said that to change room it was an extra 15 € per day so 2 night would have been 30€, but at the check out he said the price was 16€ per night so 32€ and on top of that he said there was an extra 2€ taxes charge xD), RIDICOULOUS, asking for 2 euro, i did not even argue cause i felt ashamed to discuss over 2€( already paid during the initial booking). They only care about money. 200 years old farm, I understand that, but the rust all over the bathroom, the stink of mould in the rooms and bad ventilation system has nothing to do with that, you can replace or fix them, so the 200 years sound just like an excuse. Breakfast not good, they just put on the table what they got left in the fridge from previous days. But the worst part is that: nowhere is specified that your rooms face a church ( almost attached) that ring loud bells every morning at 6 am. So you have to wake up at 6 am cause it i impossible to not hear it as it sound like the bells are in your room. If you don't have a car this place is far from everywhere. I regret booking in this place. Never again. Ah, the landlord will try and say it is not like this, that we made dirty and that the room was clean and blame the wind xD bla bla bla, like all the other comments he left with customer who had the same awful experience. Totally not worth it 102€ per night, there is much much much better in gozo. Max I would have paid for the room we rented was 30€ per night. Ah in case you are cold or hot and want to use the air-condition, you need to pay extra, by using a meter reading system that allows you to insert coin and use the aircon. Really?

I have never seen such a breakfast option in any hotel I have stayed in my life. You can choose any breakfast you want from their à la carte menu, including coffee or tea, and a soft drink. Additionally, 3 types of pastry are delivered to your table depending on the number of people. Our room was really clean and spacious, we were really pleased with everything😇😍❣️

    Wonderful town in Gozo.

Wonderful town in Gozo. It is very easy to travel all over the Island from here with many of the beaches and attractions less than 15 minutes away. Its nice and quiet too, very relaxing. There is a wonderful family run shop just by the church that sells everything you could want for your stay and a nice place to sit and have a coffee or drink next door. Very friendly people.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, very clean and the staff in charge, very attentive. The garden is beautiful. There are 3 lovely pools, 1 of them is a family pool. The place is very peaceful and perfect for relaxation. The breakfast was excellent, very abundant. We were spoilt for choice.

San Lawrenz is a very small village in Gozo.

San Lawrenz is a very small village in Gozo. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of this village. There's nothing much to see except for Dwejra and the crafts village. If you decide to stay at the Kempinski hotel I would suggest you hire a car as the hotel albeit beautiful, is literally in the middle of nowhere.

The Resort is beautiful, Staff were excellent and detailed, The food was great, the drinks over priced and no reason for it. More signs are needed to advised people staying were the road is, and at the hotel more signs are needed and information in the room. Otherwise it was a great trip.

San Lawrenz is a typically tiny village in the island of Gozo - very lovely and picturesque set in the middle of the Gozitan countryside. It's an idyllic place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, just like most of rural Gozo - ideal for a chill-out break

The staff were very friendly and helpful with everything we needed (wine bottle opener, hairdryer, taxis) and they even let us have a later check out time so we could use the spa facilities! Everything was clean & there was a variety of food to choose from at breakfast. We have nothing negative to say about this hotel and will 100% be returning in summer and recommending to friends and family!

The house smells wonderful, furnished with great sense, feels really cosy still you can also feel the long history the house has. Pool is nice after a full day of sightseeing. Owners are really friendly and always helpful. San Lawrenz is a quiet village, two restaurants and a small shop opposite to Ta'Lorenzo. Location is perfect if you like quiet nights with attractions close by. Dwjera is less than 10min by bus, Victoria was app.20min. We only spent two nights there but it was the best accommodation throughout a week in Malta and Gozo.

Great accommodation in a typical rural house with very thick stone walls - nice neolithic feeling! All this in a quiet village, next to the church, so we slept very well - but count on the bells to wake you up at 6:15 - why at 6:15 I couldn't tell. Friendly host, good breakfast. Very close to the "inland sea" and the most spectacular cliffs of Gozo (well - very close to everything in Gozo by rental car). There are two restaurants near by, albeit we had fresh fish in a seaside reasturant at the inland sea.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Service was exceptional from all staff from reception to the restaurants. Very very clean. Cleaning staff are very friendly and thorough. The manager is regularly around and accessible asking how things are at breakfast which is a nice touch. Breakfast excellent. Hotel itself, rooms and pools all excellent. Cannot fault. Would definitely stay again.

A refurbished charming house in the heart of San Lawrenz. The rooms were just what we were after for a short stay. Hearty breakfast and freshly prepared by the friendly host in the morning. Good value for money. Not a negative but just want to point out that there is no elevator (as is typical with all B&Bs in Gozo) and some of the bathrooms have a shower whilst others come with a bath.

Pierre and Lorraine run this wonderful guesthouse in the tranquil village of San Lorenzo on Gozo. They welcomed us very warmly and were always ready to answer our questions or give advice. The breakfast was superb and very diverse. And of course, it was always lovely to get greeted by their two super cute little dogs upon arrival.

The farmhouse is in the old Maltese style, complete with antique doors, furniture, and decor. The accommodation is centrally located, peaceful, and quiet, in an area known for its serenity, not far from Dwejra. It’s also pet friendly which is just couple of hotels have in Gozo. You will also be served delicious Maltese breakfast.
