The location, the amazing view over the water, the facilities, the little extras like the coffee pods and the stroopwafels. There are several small electric heaters that help to keep the place warm. The kitchenette is really small but works fine to make hot drinks and snacks. With so many eateries nearby you don't need to cook your own meal here! The bed and the shower are good, and since the bedroom is below the water it is really very quiet at night, you can't hear a thing which is incredible for a location in the heart of Amsterdam!

I am looking forward to welcome you in the studio at the Amstel in Amsterdam – and I hope you will enjoy to live like a local on a houseboat in Amsterdam. AMSTERDAM – THE VENICE OF THE NORTH- WITH ITS LOVELY CANALS AND BRIDGES Amsterdam is known as Venice of the North because of its lovely canals going through the city with more than 1500 bridges. And you are going to sleep on one of most beautiful canals – The Amstel.

Neighbourhood information

This neighbourhood Weesperzijde is one of the most special places near the Amstel. This part is very popular because of its beautifull walks along the water and because of its different bars, restaurants and terraces. They call this place the part with the most 'ours of sun' in the city. At the other side of the bridge there is popular part of the city De Pijp – like the neighbourhood 'Quartier Latin' in Paris.
