We arrived late due to a problem we had and they waited for us to check in, the location was wonderful. We rested and had a wonderful time staying there. The staff was always very concerned about making us feel comfortable.

Cozy caravan retreat with great views set within 10 acre of ecological paradise. At Down to Earth NZ we have recently restored a 1960 retro caravan privately nestled under a Totara tree with wood fired heater, fridge and solar in landscaped grounds with its own private woodfired bathtub on the edge of a mature olive grove and Orchard. Le Olive is self contained with sunset and sunrise views and privacy. You will enjoy the nature surrounding you, our friendly calves coming for cuddles, the melody of birds, having a swim in the pond, ,enjoying star filled clear dark sky. Walk around and discover the permaculture gardens, yoga deck, badminton court and enjoy seasonal changes like misty Autumn valley views, Wildflower Meadows and our developing food forest. Our location has good reception with Vodafone up to 4G, but no WiFi or TV. The caravan has solar power, making it an ideal place to disconnect from the world and connect with nature. The lake is only 50m away, providing a refreshing swim or a relaxing spot by the water. Our lovely setting is perfect for experiencing off-grid living. And no matter the weather, our wood-fired bathtub is always there to warm you up. Kids are welcome to stay, it is such a wonderful adventure place for them to explore and be in nature. A tent can be add next to the caravan to accomodate a family. Although we ask that kids are supervised at all times as theres is multiple ponds on the property and animals. We have a Therapy room for the ultimate deep tissue massage relaxation by trained resident Masseuse Nadege from the Healing Touch IMPORTANT: The bathroom includes a compost loo, cold shower and a woodfired bath tub. A solar shower bag is also available for you to use.
Hey, I'm Nadège, originally from Belgium, I've lived in New Zealand the last 3 years. We live on a 10 acres property which is plenty to share it with guests and still all have our privacy. With Simon, my partner, we love having guests and share the local go to place with them. We are very down to earth, we love our slice of paradise and spend a lot of time outside taking care of our garden and property in general. I'm a deep tissue massage therapist, which can also be a nice extra to your stay with us, either in my studio or on the deck at your accommodation. Simon on the other hand is an artist landscaper as I like to call it, he sees landscape and nature as arts, and get inspired by it to create landscapes. You will usually find him somewhere lost in the garden. He loves to share about his favorites places and activities in the area. If you havent got any plans yet for your trip, he's the one to talk to with its communicative enthousiasm.
