This boutique homestay offers a tranquil stay in a spacious garden setting, with petanque and croquet courts, outdoor seating and BBQ facilities. Relax anytime in the spa pool accompanied with its breath taking view down the valley overlooking the geysers and lake or enjoy a refreshing drink on the deck capturing the last of the sun.
Your hosts, Shami, Dave and 2 cats, "Lucky" the maitre d and "Blanca" the Queen. Shami & Dave are a married couple who have lived in Rotorua for over 13 years. They balanced their time between NZ and California (USA). Both are passionate about meeting and hosting people. They have six children and ten grandchildren spread across the globe, and really enjoy travelling abroad whenever they get the chance. Shami loves cooking. If you are fortunate enough to book an evening meal with Shami, you are in for a gourmet delight served with a glass of their finest wine. Breakfasts are an extra but always available. You have the option of continental or Shami's famous homestyle cooked breakfast. Other meals including fine dining can be available on request. Dave loves a good chat. He knows Rotorua like the back of his hand and works in tourism, so if you are wanting to know the best things to do, he would be more than happy to provide recommendations. ​ "Lucky" the Maitre D is very friendly and engaging and will on most occasions meet and greet guests. If there is anything you need to know just ask Lucky. "Blanca" She just looks pretty and is the Queen. no more needs to be said.
Tihiotonga (translation = lookout hill) suburb while close to town has an great overview of Rotorua. It is placed on the Rotorua Caldera rim. It has panoramic views of the town, lake and Geysers, while having a 40 acre Tihiotonga Tree Reserve for waking and leisure. The Geyser Lookout Home-stay backs on to this reserve.
