The room was lovely (recently updated?) with kitchenette and small sitting area. Bathroom was modern and clean. Parking directly outside our unit was very handy. We had a delicious breakfast at the onsite cafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional service provided by the staff during my stay. The gentleman who assisted me during check-in was extremely helpful and attentive. Although my room fridge was missing milk, the night staff promptly brought six packs to my room, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Not only did he provide excellent service, but he also offered valuable recommendations for Christchurch attractions and helped me with my room TV, demonstrating patience and professionalism throughout. Even during my early morning checkout, around 4 a.m., the reception gentleman graciously assisted me, despite it being outside of regular hours. I truly appreciate his dedication and hospitality, making my stay more enjoyable. A big thank you to the reception gentlemen for his outstanding service.

This is my second time staying at the Golden Hotel and it did not disappoint. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, my room was spotless, the off street car parking is great. Rooms are a decent size, bathroom is sleek and modern with plenty of space and towels etc. There were 2 arm chairs as well as a desk, and the kitchenette was well appointed. Plus having a cafe on site makes it easy to grab a delicious coffee and food.

Lovely new hotel close to Riccarton mall. We were greeted by friendly gentleman and the check in was quick and hassle free. Found our room on third level with lovely clean carpet in the hallways, tastefully decorated with plants and paintings Our room was clean with comfortable bed and nice kitchenette but the highlight would definitely be the bathroom with amazing huge shower Being a huge coffee lover I popped for a coffee in the hotel cafe first thing at the morning which was so yummy that I had to get an other one for the roadie We will definitely stay here again on our next visit in Christchurch, thank you so much for having us
