Monte Christo Winery Cottages are located on a working vineyard and historical site, considered the oldest winery in Central Otago and New Zealand’s South Island. We are about 1-hour’s drive from Queenstown airport, just outside the picturesque town of Clyde. Our well-appointed Guest Cottages have been designed with your comfort in mind, offering a perfect retreat for couples, friends, and families alike with flexible room arrangements to suit a variety of travellers. Every aspect is carefully crafted to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. Enjoy stunning views of the mountains beyond, complete with a private outdoor patio providing a tranquil and serene environment for your stay.

Neighbourhood information

We are about 1-hour’s drive from Queenstown airport, just outside the picturesque town of Clyde, within the wine sub-region of Alexandra Basin and on the route of the Central Otago Rail Trail. Close driving distance to vineyards, historical sites and hiking trails; a car is recommended unless arriving via cycle trail. The nearest main grocery store, Countdown is in Alexandra which is a short drive away. There is a smaller store selling essentials in 12 minute cycling distance for those arriving via the cycle trail.
