Beautiful little house ; well equiped. We did have difficulty getting the TV to work ; needed a young person to help !
Loved all the condiments / oil for cooking. Lovely little accessories in the house. Lovely bed and bedding.

The location was very nice, we couldn't see the see as advertised but only because of the lush trees. The cottage was very cozy and we appreciated the heating being turned on as we were a late check in.
Located just 600 metres from the beach, Omarama Oasis - Permaculture Glamping features accommodation situated in beautiful gardens with fruit and nut trees.

Good location but a little further way from main township than we thought. Good facilities but no spares i.e. 2 knives and 2 forks. Modern clean bathroom facilities.

The town is simple and clean, I came for a spiritual class and it's on a retreat centre up the mountain .. might be it's now getting into winter , there's not a lot of tourists around and make it easy to drive around and visit places.. the weather was good ( not windy so it's good to hv a walk on the beach in the late afternoon..

A great place to stay.
A great place to stay. Lovely safe beach for walking and swimming. Wainui falls and labyrinth rocks not far away. About 20 minutes to Tākaka for a browse through really interesting shops and 40 minutes to Collingwood for the farewell spit tour. Nothing disappointed.

Molly’s restaurant was ideally sited with an excellent menu for both adults/children. Staff were lovely and friendly. We visited Wharariki Beach which was a beautiful area featuring the Archway Islands and also nearby Tata Beach - popped into Takaka a few times to visit the local market and various cafes - would definitely visit Pohara again.

Everything we needed within walking distance, inhouse bar and restaurant were amazing. Spa pool and swimming pool were very clean. It felt like a resort. Easy drive to many local attractions, kayaking, walks, distillery, art studios. Staff were so friendly and professional. Food was top class - we dined there all 3 nights. We could choose from the entire menu for our "Breakfast Included" deal (which was extensive). Bathroom was well appointed with large shower, bathrobes, toiletries, hairdryer and loads of linen. Beds were sooooo comfortable.

We could have stayed longer but our accommodation was really bad so it tainted our experience of Pohara a bit.
But... the locals seem real nice, location is great, close to Takaka and surrounded by amazing natural beauty.
Fabulous staff, gorgeous rooms, so calm, quiet and tranquil. We paid a little more for the Luxury Room - very spacious, probably half again the size of the Deluxe. Only 10 rooms, room 10 being the only Luxury room. Ask for a higher room number to be a little more private and away from the (not busy) road.
The on-site restaurant was amazing, best duck I’ve ever had, and a perfect breakfast selection.
The staff though are the biggest asset of this lodge, so lovely, welcoming and accommodating.
It was very hard to leave.
Amazing views, stylish and comfortable. While a small space, it had everything needed and more. I was impressed with the kitchenware which was well-supplied and thought out for use in a small space. There was an inflatable paddle board which is great to take out on a calm morning and watch the dawn from the water. Short walking distance to several restaurants. The host was responsive. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and stay longer.
Filip and Sonya were fabulous hosts-very hospitable and generous with information and recommendations. The shuttle service to Abel Tasman made a day tramping in the park seamless. We enjoyed the accommodations so much we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay by one day. Pōhara is an excellent location for visiting the Golden Bay and I can’t recommend the Bay Lodge highly enough.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From check-in to check-out the staff were extremely warm and polite. The rooms were great and pre-heated, which was nice on a cooler day. Our experience was such that this will be our go-to accommodation in Golden Bay in the future. Thank you, Ethan and all your staff for a wonderful experience.
Very comfy bed!! Shower blocks were super clean and a hairdryer was readily available. Cabin was right on the beach access. Great to have ironing board available as we were here for a wedding. Handy to have plates, cups, utensils etc in the cabin to use. Shop had pretty much everything you could need.
Great location close to beach access, local bar and Cafe, great pizza shop. Very clean. Everything in the house was in good working order despite being an older house. It was like 'house sitting" for a friend - firewood chopped, fresh linen and plenty of kitchen supplies. Made our stay easy.
We loved the tranquility of the individual cottages in nature. The owner Steve was very friendly helpful and a great host. Enjoyed the ginger cat visiting us . Walking from cottage to beach and surroundings so easy. Lovely spacious clean and comfortable
High above Pohara provides expansive views. Even got to hear and see kea overhead! Spacious and comfortable unit. Easy access to Takaka and beyond including Abel Tasman NP. Shelly was an excellent and informative host.
