It was different, very serene and peaceful. The host was very accommodating. We were spoilt with homemade bread, yoghurt and jam. Fresh fruit and an assortment of coffee and teas.

Experience our peaceful sanctuary and its abundance of birdlife. Or meet our cute and friendly pets (2 chickens and 2 cats) Our Retreat is perfect for a weekend escape or a great place to unwind for a longer recharge. We offer a continental breakfast for short-term stays which includes homemade breads, jams, and yogurt. We offer: - One-Bedroom COTTAGE with a private, EXTERNAL bathroom in building nex doors. The Cottage has a fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster to prepare food. - The Cottage is suitable for younger folks or someone who likes a cute, comfortable one-bedroom cabin. - One-Bedroom HOUSE with ensuite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, TV, and sofa. This apartment is also suitable for longer stays or for someone who likes to cook their food. We offer free parking and free Wi-Fi. Please be aware that this property is semi-rural and has no fiber. Rolf and Monika were fortunate to grow up in the beautiful Berner Oberland in Switzerland. Both loves travelling and exploring new ways of life and cultures. In 2009 they moved to New Zealand to create a better life-work balance. They are excited about hosting guests at their subtropical property, sharing travel tips, and spoiling them with homemade goodies. Rolf is a highly skilled engineer and builder and loves motorbikes and the outdoors. Monika loves producing organic food and enjoys gardening and creating homemade eatables. Both adore their pets and take care of the environment and our planet.
For your convenience, there is a small shop, fish & chips takeaway and several restaurants on the main road. Kiwifruit and Avocado orchards are nearby, and our neighbours have horses and sheep grazing. Our property is 10 minutes from Omokoroa beach and a beautiful Golf club. Also 10 minutes from Bethlehem shopping area with restaurants. Cycling, walking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and horse riding are all nearby.
