It is quite simply excellent value for money, like staying in a minimum $200 a night resort for about $50. I had a great little chalet, from where I could hear the surf. The bed was amazingly comfortable, I nodded off without realising it. Food from menu was brilliant. OK, I am a Brit, who loves curries, especially curries made by an Indian who knows how to make them. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing to fault in any way, just praise.

The best thing you may experience there is the nature of the place, still with very less man-made conditions, it's still on its nature. Houses, services and buildings are very simple. There are very simple restaurants and shops.

The sea front and nice beaches all along the roads of Ashkara. Many roaring waves in sea was amazing.. Though not all beaches are suitable to take a dip... the photographs were nice to take... Should go in winter time from November to February and hope the location would be more better than our experience. There are other hotels around where you can check options of stay

The temperature was very good compared with the summer season in Oman and worth to be visited. The beach view is fantastic especially to watch large waves. Winds coming from sea is very cool. It is so windy, so you cannot stay outside for a while you will need rest indoors.

Consisting of the governorates of North and South...
Consisting of the governorates of North and South A’Sharqiyah, this part of Oman is widely considered the geographical jewel of the Sultanate. It is here that stunning coastlines give way to the unique ecosystem that is Sharqiyah Sands, making this region a paradise for adventurers and explorers.
The white sand and pebble beach found between Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi are great for water enthusiasts. The city of Sur, famed for its ship building, makes for fantastic camping and fishing locations. It should also come as no surprise that this area offers an amazing range of activities for nature and sea lovers; from turtle watching at Ras Al Hadd, to kite surfing on Masirah Island or visiting the traditional Dhow yard of Sur, where Arabia’s ancient style of boat continue to be crafted by hand.
The Sharqiyah Sands allows visitors to experience the desert first hand, with dunes reaching as far as the horizon and the area teeming with wildlife. Local Bedouins continue to breed livestock, including camels and Arabian horses, and visitors get the chance to see camel racing and other competitions throughout the year.
The hotel is located in a desertic area. The village is few km far away. Is located in front of the sea. We booked a king suite. The apartment is big and confortable. All the staff is very friendly and willing to help. Matani deserves a separated mention because of his hospitality and friendliness. Everithing was perfect, nothing to blame about.
We were greeted with smiles and warmth from all the hotel staff from the front desk to the restaurant staff. The rooms were really big and comfortable with plenty of counter space and shelves. Other items making the room a plus point are the mini fridge, electric kettle and the big dining table and couch.
-Location is very good not very far from the beach.
-Staff are very friendly.
-Room is clean.
-good restaurant food and prices.
-lots of activities arranged by the hotel (reservation)
I had an issue with the reservation and the staff was very helpful to find me a replacement room which was great!
Breakfast was very nice and the staff very helpful and even the recaption staff they welcoming me and my family really I would like to thank them all because they have Hospitality Standards and I'm strongly remanded the hotel , its really very good to enjoy with family
The hotel has an excellent location and the trip from Muscat towards it was very nice. Everything is clean and the staff is very helpful. One can enjoy the breakfast until 10 am, which is a nice change from a working day's usual time for this meal.
The staff are very nice and helpful. Ratkim and Hani are very friendly, and I will recommend the hotel based on the staff.
Breakfast was great and a lot options for food. Specially dinner. I personally gave thanks to the chef for the amazing dinner.
We stopped here for a night and it was a good stay. You can walk to the beach (which was empty except for a few fishermen) from the hotel or go to the swimming pool. Breakfast was good. AC was functioning well and not too noisy.
1, bbq area for all room
2, beautiful sea view
3, long and clean beach
4,The design of the rooms
Need improvement in facilities as there is no activity within hotel but I was been informed that it’s due to COVID 19
This hotel is absolutely exceptional ; it's in a category of its own. Very large, clean and confortable room, with breakfast and swimming pool. Very professional and helpful staff. Very nicely decorated.
It was a really nice experience with the hotel .It was clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. The most beautiful feature was the marvelous view of the sea from the rooms. Wish you all the best.
Place is nicely located between the beach and sand dunes. Staff at the hotel was helpful and accommodating. You can rent the quad bikes and have a ride on the beach side. Rooms are clean and comfy.
the hotel already has its glory days behind it. worn out equipment, most noticeable in the bathroom. small room. Little choice for breakfast. hotel by the beach, no garbage
Friendly staff, especially at the restaurant, but what really stood for us was the cleanliness of the room. For sure will stay again in this hotel if we visit Al Ashkharah.
